Luckily, we had good weather (a blizzard the next day, and I heard the highways were closed > <). Although we didn't get to ride snowmobiles at Shikisai-no-Oka in Biei, the snow sledding was still a lot of fun, and it saved us some money ^ ^. It's a pity the time was too short; we wanted more! Visiting 3-4 attractions in one day inevitably involves a rush, but overall it's a convenient and hassle-free option, especially in winter. Our driver/guide, Mr. Ma, was very polite and drove smoothly; thank you for his service!
First of all, the ropeway itself is quiet and stable, and the Sapporo cityscape gradually unfolds as you ascend, which is great. The way it's presented naturally raises your expectations, making you think, "Wow, what a beautiful night view." The moment you reach the top of the mountain, you honestly think, "Wow... this is impressive." Sapporo's night view doesn't have the cluttered feel of Tokyo or Osaka, and the balance of the neat city blocks, soft light, and the perfect distance between the mountain and the city is truly beautiful. That's why it's no wonder it's called one of Japan's three greatest night views. The observation deck is well-maintained and relatively easy to see even in cold weather, and its strengths make it a popular choice for couples, solo travelers, and families.
The highlight of this tour is the snowmobile ride (at your own expense). The rest of the itinerary is a quick overview, making it perfect for travelers with limited time who still want to see as many sights as possible. Our guide, Xiaoyu (Chen Siyu), is humorous and engaging; highly recommended.
