The tourist attraction is good, although the drive is long. It's advisable to buy park tickets in advance from KK. You need to prepare food for the whole day as there are no food vendors. If you enjoy hot springs, bring a change of clothes. It only costs 250 Taipei dollars. Most of the toilets are squat toilets. The guide, although not English-speaking, tried his best to explain things.
The location is near the newly constructed TSMC factory in the middle of agricultural land. The architecture of the place is modern and aesthetically stunning! The shuttle bus to and from the high speed rail station could be crowded. I would suggest that they add more bus during the peak hours. The exhibitions are dynamic and engaging. I hope they bring back the APP based audio guidance.
Using Google Maps will take you to the control point. Directly navigate to the parking lot next to Vivi Park Guandu Hospital. This is the fastest way and avoids the control point, otherwise you'll be going in circles. Scan the QR code for the "number ticket" on-site first, then go to the market. Your phone will notify you when your number is called, which is very convenient. The temple stalls are cheap and have a wide selection. The market is closer to the event area, with prices comparable to tourist areas, and both are within a 5-minute walk of the parking lot. It's a great place for taking photos. Experiences start at around NT$50. You can exchange tokens at the small shop at the very back. Be careful of the slippery muddy paths near the water spray area, as it enhances the effect. Strollers are preferred, but wheelchair users should be aware that the muddy ground offers some resistance.
