This eSIM is very convenient; it can be used in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Tanzania, so I didn't need to switch between them throughout the trip. While safari in Tanzania, the internet was generally stable (due to the limited infrastructure and the vast, sparsely populated national parks, it's naturally prone to instability). There were no problems in the tent area, and most of the time, compared to my fellow travelers, I could connect to the internet!
I've used the 3-day pass several times, and this time it included three days of rides on the Taiwan High-Speed Rail and two days of rides on the subway, plus a 300 NTD Uber coupon as the other option. It's an incredible deal. I had a little trouble activating it, but it's really a great deal. However, previously, with the High-Speed Rail 3-day pass, I could reserve a seat at the ticket counter, but this time they only let me reserve a seat when I picked up the pass, and I was told that I had to reserve seats in advance afterward and that I could only ride in unreserved seats. I used unreserved seats from the second day onward. The High-Speed Rail website that provides the pass does indeed say that unreserved seats are available, but kkd a y's instructions said that you could reserve seats at the ticket counter. I was glad I was able to get a seat in the unreserved section this time.
This was my first time using an eSIM, but the setup was easy, and I was able to use it very smoothly within Taiwan. I was worried because there were some reviews saying it didn't connect, but I didn't experience anything like that at all. I traveled from Taipei to Kaohsiung, and I was always on a 5G connection. For this price and speed, it's more than sufficient. I will use it again.
