The weather on the mountain is unpredictable, so be sure to bring warm clothing and a hat. The trip was even more spectacular than expected, with beautiful scenery and frequent mists. However, once the sun comes out, you can take some amazing photos. The driver and tour leader, Xiao Jiang, was very experienced and professional. Tickets and shuttle bus tickets are at your own expense, but it's still worth the price.
A compact and well organized itinerary covering attractions that may otherwise prove challenging to reach logistically. The two assigned drivers (Mr Wang and Mr Luo) are both excellent, their vehicles in excellent condition. I’d heartily recommend this trip with this company to anyone looking to explore Alishan, Sun Moon Lake, and the Qingjing Farm.
This shared tour was great value. Besides the 9-seater Benz, the driver also acted as a tour guide, accompanying us throughout the entire trip, providing commentary, and even finding great angles to take photos for us – the photos turned out beautifully. Luckily, the weather was nice that day. We ate at a famous tin box bento box restaurant along the way and finally rode a miniature train. Because some sections of the road have many curves, it's recommended that those prone to motion sickness take motion sickness medication beforehand.
It departed from Gancheong Station. Even the staff didn't know much, so I got lost a few times, but you can just scan the QR code on the scanner, select the language, and then issue the ticket. Since it's a round trip, you can print it out twice. At the stop you're going to, show your ticket, and you'll receive a waiting ticket. At the stop you're returning to, you can just line up, scan your ticket, and board without a waiting ticket.
Ease of booking (KKday's usability) Pros: The procedure was easy to complete in Japanese, and the purchasing process was smooth. I was able to get a good deal at a discounted price (stating the discount rate or specific amount would be more convincing). Were there flexible options for seat selection and time changes when booking (if you used this service)? Was it easy to enter the required information, such as your passport number? Concerns (if any): Were there any issues with using the website or app? Was it time-consuming or confusing to issue or collect your voucher? 🎫 Ticket collection and redemption Pros: It was very easy to redeem your ticket at the station (did you use the counter or the automatic ticket machine?). Was it enough to just present your electronic voucher (the booking confirmation you received by email)? Was the waiting time for redemption short? Concerns (if any): It was difficult to find the redemption location, or the counter was crowded, etc. Did you experience any language barriers when redeeming your ticket (whether Japanese was available or not)? 🚅 What was good about your experience riding the Taiwan High Speed Rail? The interior of the train was clean and comfortable. The seats were spacious, so I didn't feel tired even on long journeys. The train ran on time, allowing for a smooth journey. I enjoyed the scenery from the train window, and other specific impressions. What were your concerns (if any): Inconveniences with the onboard services (Wi-Fi, food and drink, etc.). Dissatisfaction with the environment, such as the air conditioning being too strong.
Our family traveled from Kaohsiung to Taoyuan Airport to catch our flight. Instead of taking the High Speed Rail, we opted for a chartered car. Because it was a long weekend, we left a little earlier. There were many vehicles on the road, but the driver was very steady and paid close attention to the traffic. He didn't overtake recklessly or honk his horn because of traffic jams, ensuring a smooth ride for us. He also kindly asked if we needed to rest or use the restroom. The car was spacious and clean. This way of getting to the airport saved us the energy of carrying luggage, and we arrived at the airport not drenched in sweat – a great choice.
