My first kimono day trip was fantastic! The shop had a wide variety of kimono styles to choose from, and there were no extra charges, which was reassuring. Strolling through Dazaifu in a kimono was incredibly authentically Japanese, and the photos turned out amazing. The wind chime festival at Nyoin-ji Temple was beautiful; the sound of the wind chimes was soothing and dreamy. Boating on the Yanagawa River was also a lot of fun, with beautiful scenery along the way. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, was excellent value for money, and highly recommended!
Our tour guide, Ada, was friendly and professional. The bus ride allowed for rest while we visited many attractions, which was great! It was a bit of a shame that the only option in Yanagawa was a boat tour; it would have been even better if we had more time to eat eel rice. When we visited the Ichiran Ramen factory, there was no queue for meals; I wonder if that's always the case.
Strolling along the small boats of the Yanagawa River in Japan, the gentle breeze and the tranquil waterside scenery offer a peaceful and soothing escape. The traditional streetscapes and serene atmosphere allow you to temporarily forget your busy life and experience the purest Japanese charm and slow-paced lifestyle.
Because of the large group, hiring a car and planning your own itinerary to visit more distant attractions and hotels is really easy and convenient. They'll notify you before departure to create a LINE group, so you don't have to worry about not being able to contact the driver. Highly recommended.
Even without a tour guide, the AI system could still explain the sights, and the driver was very responsible. The vehicle was very clean, with not a single water stain or mark on the windows. Sitting in the front row, I could still enjoy the scenery and had a very comfortable ride. I hope to have the opportunity to come again next time.
