Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass – 2-Day & 3-Day Pass | For Foreign Visitors Only

— Exchange Method —

• Step 1: Products cannot be changed after ordering. Please provide your full English name, gender, date of birth, passport number, and nationality when booking. Children under six do not occupy a seat and do not need to purchase a pass
• Step 2: After the booking, the passenger's email will receive a confirmation form and attachments. The attachment is the electronic ticket marked with the redemption code; the validity period of the electronic ticket is 89 days from the day after the ticket purchase date to complete the ticket exchange and boarding
  
• Step 3: Please take the redemption code in the email attachment first and go to the "Order Management" of the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass official website to make an online reservation for the date, frequency, and time in advance. The reservation is only available within 29 days from the beginning of the day every week. On Fridays and Saturdays, it can be exchanged up to four weeks later until Sunday (based on Taiwan time). Obtain the reservation code after completing the reservation, and use it when picking up passes later
• Example 1: Passenger A's redemption date is 2021/01/04 (Monday), and the passenger's first day of boarding can be specified up to 2021/02/01 (Monday)
  Example 2: Passenger B's redemption date is 2021/01/08 (Friday), and the passenger's first day of boarding can be specified up to 2021/02/07 (Sunday)
  
• Step 4: When traveling, please go to the "high-speed rail manual ticket window" and present the reservation code, original passport, and entry certificate (short-term entry certificates such as auxiliary visa or Taiwan entry permit), and exchange for an official physical pass on the spot. If the online reservation has not been completed, staff a HSR ticket counters can help you complete the booking
  
• Step 5: When entering the station, please enter the station through the "manual ticket gate" and bring your ID for inspection.
  ＊Enter the Taiwan Travel Pass number when ordering, and the original Taiwan Travel Pass must be presented on the spot; if the passport number is entered, the original passport must be presented on the spot
  ＊Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass official website is only open to ordering five high-speed rail passes (including passes already taken) for each set of serial numbers. If there is a need for more than six trips, please book passes at the physical count of the high-speed rail station

Reservation Process

• Step 1: Go to the official website of Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass ➔ Click on the upper right corner to read the language ➔ Click on Order Management in the upper right corner
• Step 2: Click "Query by Order Number" ➔ Enter the Voucher Number and Passport Number (the information must be consistent with the passenger information submitted at that time)
• Step 3: Check the list of passengers for this Reservation ➔ Click Redeem ➔ If you book an HSR Consecutive 3-Day Pass, please select the first boarding date. If you book an HSR Flexible 2-Day Pass, please select the first and the second boarding date
• Step 3: Check the list of passengers for this Reservation ➔ Click Reservation ➔ Select Board Date and Board Time
• Step 4: Select the train you are taking (you can check the schedule at other times for earlier or later trains) ➔ click Confirm Train ➔ Complete the Reservation
• Remarks: Each code only allows 5 online train reservations. To reserve more train departures, please proceed to a manual counter of HSR. If you need to change the itinerary, please apply 30 minutes before the initially scheduled train departure time. Overdue will not be accepted

— Cancellation —

• Step 1: Please go to the official website of Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass online 30 minutes before the departure of the selected bus day ➔ click on the upper right corner to read the language ➔ click on the upper right corner Order Management
• Step 2: Click Query by Order Number ➔ Enter Voucher Number and Passport Number (the information must be consistent with the passenger information submitted at that time)
• Step 3: Check the passenger list for this cancellation ➔ Click "Cancel Reservation" ➔ Click Confirm
• Remarks: Cancellation and refund will not be provided within 30 minutes before the departure of the selected train. If the reserved seat has been canceled, you can re-select the boarding date or apply for a refund

— Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass Refund Instructions —

• Before making an online reservation, if you need a refund, please click Cancel Order in the KKday order management before the refund deadline. No refund will be made after the time limit
• After booking online, if you need a refund, please complete the cancellation process on the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass official website. Then, please click Cancel Order in KKday order management before the refund deadline. No refund will be made after the time limit
• No refunds will be accepted after exchange for a physical pass
• If no reservation was made for the first-day boarding, resulting in a refund application due to seating in a non-reserved seat for an entire ride and non-collection of the pass, please go to THSR's ticketing website to cancel the redemption by 11:59pm of the first boarding day, to apply for order cancellation
