Student tickets and priority admission tickets can be entered electronically, and the price is the same as the price sold at the counter. The ticket stubs for the Taipei Fine Arts Museum are also the same (if you're looking to collect ticket stubs for different exhibitions, you'll be very disappointed). I always book tickets through KKDay when I go to the Taipei Fine Arts Museum. Walking from the main entrance to the ticket gate at a normal pace takes less than a minute, so I don't understand why people still queue up to buy tickets at the ticket counter. I don't understand, I really can't comprehend it. Every time, I really want to shout to the people in line, "You can buy tickets with your phone!" or "No need to queue!" but I restrain myself. I hope everyone in line is blocked at the entrance so I can enjoy the exhibition with fewer people.
Amongst all the drivers Ive hired in Taiwan, this was the only driver who provided the correct car seat configuration (rear facing) for my child who is less than 2 yo. Other drivers (private or other companies) had incorrectly installed car seats or the straps were too loose and the drivers had no idea how to adjust the seats. I felt safe taking this car. The agency was very responsive to my queries and arranged everything well without me having to repeat myself. The driver was pleasant (not overly friendly but also not grumpy or unfriendly) and did not try to bring us to any tourist traps. I will definitely use this service in future.
I chose a greedy 6-hour tour that included Shifen and Jiufen, from evening until late at night! At first, I was debating whether to explore Shifen and Jiufen on my own by train or bus, or to go on a full tour (around 15,000-20,000 yen per person), but after reading reviews that the return buses were extremely crowded and infrequent, I decided to charter a private car. In the end, it was really great! They took photos and videos of my trip and even made a short video for me as a gift at the end. They were very considerate, asking things like, "What do you want to do?", "Where do you want to go?", "Do you want to eat this?", "This is a great photo spot!", and even though we were speaking broken English, it was a lot of fun! Because my stay in Jiufen was short, I had about two hours to spare, so when I asked if I could go to a supermarket and a pharmacy to buy souvenirs, they readily agreed! They researched stores with a wide variety of goods and took me there. They were supposed to drop me off at Taipei Station on the way back, but when I told them I was going to the airport by MRT afterward, they said, "That's a different entrance!" And he took me all the way to the MRT station! And there was a microphone in the car, so we had a karaoke session! He was so helpful from start to finish, I really recommend him! Thank you, YANG! YANG, I'm so grateful!
When buying the package ticket, I saw information about the track car and the Sky Bike, assuming they were included in the price, but it turns out they weren't. I'm unsure if this ticket allows you to skip the exhibits and only ride the rides. If you can ride the rides separately, based on the price, you must use the QR code for the Planetarium on the track car first, then you only need to pay an additional 40 to see the exhibits. If you accidentally use the QR code for the exhibits first, you'll have to pay an extra 70 to ride the track car later. The same applies to the National Museum of Natural Science; you can only choose one of the Sky Bike and the permanent exhibits, so choose the permanent exhibit because the ticket price is higher. You'll have to pay extra for the Sky Bike ride later. I hope the explanations sold later will be clearer, otherwise it's easy to misunderstand how to use the ticket. Perhaps a combined exhibition and ride package ticket could be released in the future, which might be more economical.
