The first day's northern itinerary proceeded smoothly under the guidance of our guide, Yukawa. The entire activity was explained in Chinese, with detailed introductions to the itinerary and Ryukyu culture. The Japanese are very punctual, so everyone cooperated well, boarding the bus on time for the designated meeting time, ensuring a smooth trip. The whale sharks at the Churaumi Aquarium are definitely worth seeing, and the dolphin show is also a must-see – both are fantastic. Kouri Island's beaches are beautifully colored; Mosasa Island is even more beautiful and spectacular than Elephant Trunk Rock in Taiwan, but it's very crowded, so you have to take photos quickly. Senaga Island's Mediterranean-style architecture is perfect for leisurely enjoying coffee and desserts in a café while watching planes land at Naha Airport. We were lucky enough to get a table at the popular "Happiness Pancakes" after about 20 minutes. The second day's southern itinerary, led by our guide, Reiko, was equally enjoyable and completed smoothly. The entire activity was explained in Chinese, with detailed introductions to the itinerary, Ryukyu culture, customs, and lifestyle. As always, each guide informed us beforehand that we hoped everyone would cooperate by being punctual for the entire trip and keeping the bus clean, so please refrain from eating on the bus, especially if it smells bad. Drinks are allowed, but showering is prohibited during the ice season. Chinen Cape boasts beautiful scenery and strong winds. The stalactites in Gyokusen Cave stretch for 890 meters and are truly spectacular. Be careful as the floor is damp. The taiko drum show and snake show are also excellent. Lunch will be at the Itoman Fish Market (own expense), which is relatively expensive. You can choose to shop at either Toyosaki Shopping Center or the Aolai Outlet Mall. We chose Aolai; everyone in our family bought a pair of shoes, purchased cosmetics, and then went to the second floor for tax refund. This is a two-day itinerary for the North and South Taiwan region, perfect for those without a car. The departure meeting point is in front of the Prefectural Government Building. The tour ends in the evening; simply cross the traffic lights 🚥 to Kokusai Street for shopping, finding food, or buying groceries, fruits, and snacks at the Ryoma Department Store. Simple meals are conveniently available back at the guesthouse. The tour guides are excellent, and the bus drivers are very steady – please be punctual! Entrance fees are included. Lunch in the North Taiwan itinerary includes rice balls 🍙 and jasmine tea. Lunch in the South Taiwan itinerary is not included; lunch at the Itoman Fish Market is at your own expense, but the cost is reasonable.
Highly recommended for family travel; everything is thoughtfully designed for young children, and some animals are different from those in Taiwan. The stroller is excellent, and it's accessible and barrier-free – Japan is truly amazing.
I enjoyed the trip, especially on a nice day when the weather was great and the sea was incredibly blue. The leisurely pace at each attraction, without any rushing, the delicious hamburgers, and our experienced and excellent tour guide, Ms. Lian. A wonderful day trip.
Arrive 10 minutes early, confirm your information, and you can board the bus. The staff will provide you with a ticket for the return trip. The advantage is that it's a direct route without stops, but the frequency of buses is relatively low.
