Taiwan High Speed ​​Rail One-Way Ticket is a transportation ticket specially designed by the Taiwan High Speed ​​Rail Company (THSR) for overseas tourists. Non-Taiwanese tourists can enjoy a 15% discount when booking a High Speed Rail ticket on KKday, making your travel in Taiwan more convenient.


— Important Info —

  • After completing the KKday online booking, you can also go to the THSR Pass official website to select the travel date and train number in advance
  • After selecting the train, seats will be randomly assigned by computer. You cannot specify the car and seat
  • Eligible users: visa-exempt travelers, tourist visa holders, and short-term visitors.Not for those entering the country with a Taiwan residence permit or passport
  • Reserved seat ticket is only valid for the designated train and range and on the date as specified on the ticket (cannot be changed to unreserved seat of a different train on the day)

How to Use

— How To Redeem Your Voucher —

  1. Provide your full English name, gender, date of birth, passport number, and nationality when booking. No changes can be made after the booking has been confirmed. Free admission for children below 6 years old, and they must not occupy a seat
  2. You will receive a confirmation email along with an e-voucher after the booking has been confirmed. Tickets must be redeemed and used within 89 days from the day after the booking date
  3. Please use the redeem code in the email to make a reservation on the official THSR Pass website. The travel dates can be reserved within 29 days starting from 00:00 on the day of redemption. If the Pass is redeemed on a Friday or Saturday, the period will be extended to the Sunday 4 weeks after the day of redemption (based on Taiwan time)
    • Example 1: If the redemption date is January 4 (Monday), 2021,  reservations up to February 1 (Monday) are allowed
    • Example 2: If the redemption date is January 8 (Friday), 2021, reservations up to February 7 (Thursday) are allowed 
  4. To redeem the physical ticket, please present your booking number, original copies of passport, and entry proof (tourist visa, entry permit, etc) at a THSR manual ticket counter
  5. Enter through the manual gate and have IDs ready for verification

* The ID presented on-site must be the same as the ID provided when booking 


— How to Exchange THSR Pass —

[Reservation]

  1. Go to official THSR Pass website ➔ Select the preferred language at top right ➔ Click "Manage" at top right
  2. Click "Sign in with order number" ➔ Enter the order number and passport number (must be consistent with the submitted passenger information)
  3. Check the passenger list ➔ Click "Reservation" ➔ Select Boarding Date and Time
  4. Select your train (check for the timetable for earlier or later trains) ➔ Click "Confirm Train" ➔ Complete the reservation

*To change your train, please do so at least 30 minutes before the original train departs. No modification or cancellation will be processed after the train departs

[Cancellation]

  1. Go to official THSR Pass website ➔ Select the preferred language at top right ➔ Click "Manage" at top right Click "Sign in with order number" ➔ 
  2. Enter the order number and passport number (must be consistent with the submitted passenger information) 
  3. Check the tickets to cancel ➔ Click "Confirm" ➔ Select Boarding Date and Time

* Cancelation or refund is not possible within 30 minuted before the original train departure. Rescheduling or refund is only possible when the reserved seat is canceled


— How to Apply for A Refund —

  • To apply for a refund before making the reservation online and within the refund period, please click "Cancel Reservation" on KKday "Order Management". No refund will be processed outside the refund period
  • To apply for a refund after making the reservation online, please cancel the reservation on the THSR Pass official website. Then go to "Order Management"on KKday and click "Cancel Reservation" within the refund period. No refund will be processed outside the refund period
  • Once the physical ticket is redeemed, refund is not possible
  • To get a refund, please make sure that both tickets meet the refund requirement. If one of the tickets is already redeemed and collected or fails to meet the refund requirement, refund will not be possible

  • Valid for redemption within 89day(s) from the date of issue; Invalid after expiration
