The redemption process was convenient, unlike the terrible experiences shared by other netizens. The attractions included in the ticket are actually not expensive, and I highly recommend combining the attractions with meals for great value. We redeemed tickets for five attractions at Moji Port (Nostalgia Free Pass (5 facilities)) to learn about the history of Moji Port and its surroundings; we also ate at the nearby Umijin Sushi restaurant (a 2000 yen discount per person, which allowed the four of us to order authentic pufferfish and many freshly made Japanese sushi dishes). Finally, we went to Sarakurayama to ride the cable car and ramp (if you drive up Sarakurayama, there is cheap parking opposite the pick-up point; remember, it costs 100 yen for 2 hours). The entrance fees for other attractions listed on the ticket website are not expensive; for example, we visited Kokura Castle at our own expense. You can also walk through the Kanmon Undersea Tunnel, which runs between Shimonoseki (Yamaguchi Prefecture) and Moji (Fukuoka Prefecture). We also experienced the Shiokaze Commemorative Train on Saturday (which only runs on weekends). In short, this ticket allowed us to learn about and experience famous tourist attractions in Kitakyushu, Kokura, Moji, and Shimonoseki over four days and three nights.
Our driver and guide, Mr. Zhang, provided excellent service, offered commentary throughout the trip, and drove steadily. There was ample time at each attraction, so it wasn't rushed. Highly recommended. I also recommend nearby supermarkets and restaurants after the trip.
