During the redemption of the Taiwan Railways pass, seat reservation, and travel, you must carry the original government-issued valid identification document containing your photo, ID number, and date of birth, such as your ID card, National Health Insurance card, or driver's license, for inspection by station staff or train personnel.
    Senior tickets are non-transferable. If you fail to carry your ID, if the documents do not match the pass information, if you cannot be identified as the ticket holder, or if someone else is using the ticket, it will be considered a mismatch or traveling without a ticket. You will be required to pay the fare according to Taiwan Railways regulations, plus a potential 50% surcharge, and no refund will be granted for the original pass.
