Our guide, Wang Zhe, was incredibly kind and provided thorough guidance throughout the tour, even though we were the only two Japanese participants. The itinerary was Lake Chuzenji → Kegon Falls → Nikko Toshogu Shrine. We had 30 minutes to stroll around Lake Chuzenji, which was plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. At Kegon Falls, we had 50 minutes of free time, during which we were able to see the falls up close via elevator. The actual visit only took about 15 minutes, so afterwards we enjoyed some local specialties such as tamakonnyaku, suito, yuba fries, yuba croquettes, grilled ayu fish, and goheimochi, all of which were delicious. At Nikko Toshogu Shrine, we had 2 hours of free time to explore. Entrance tickets were not included in the tour, but we had purchased them in advance, so we were able to enter smoothly. Other participants were able to enter without waiting in line, as the guide purchased tickets for them to avoid the long queues at the ticket office. It seems that purchasing tickets in advance is not mandatory. We were able to enjoy every place thanks to Wang Zhe's detailed and easy-to-understand explanations. Thank you for a wonderful day.
Thank you so much for the travel arrangements. Our whole family enjoyed a stress-free trip, visiting World Heritage sites and beautiful lakes and mountains. We hope to have the opportunity to join such a high-quality tour again next time.
