A small ski resort with few people; the lifts don't have long queues on weekdays, making it suitable for practicing skiing. They also offer a 50% discount.
A single-day ticket costs ¥5300, but a package deal includes a ¥5000 ski equipment voucher, which is a great deal. Fill in your height and weight to rent the equipment, and return it at 16:00. The ski resort closes at 16:30.
The timing of the trip was perfect. I booked a private car at the Senji Sanlam station, saw the airport, and the station even gave me a ¥1000 cash voucher that I could use on the spot to buy souvenirs.
It's been a while since I last visited. There have been many changes, and there's even a play area for small children! The second generation polar bears and seals are so appealing that you can even take photos with their eyes on them. You can see them up close, so it's very impressive!
It's convenient, fast, and the process isn't too complicated. You can pre-select a later train to reserve a seat and ensure you have a designated seat. You can also tell the station staff in advance that you can change to an earlier train to get a non-reserved seat!
Although the rain caused some minor adjustments to the itinerary that day, it didn't significantly impact the experience. The instructors were very helpful in explaining and caring for the Akita dogs, assisting us with interaction and taking photos. They also provided a convenient shuttle service from the station. I'll definitely experience this again next time I'm in Akita!
