I spent a lot of money to plan my own itinerary, visiting all the places I wanted to see in a day. When I was tired, I could get on the bus to rest and regroup before heading to the next destination. It was a fulfilling and wonderful experience, and the money was well spent. The driver was responsible, punctual, and communicated well.
The price was reasonable, saving a lot of time on train transfers, and the whole day's itinerary was very fulfilling. The tour guide, Nick Liu, from Taiwan, also explained the history of each attraction. He provided excellent service and was very attentive to everyone. I recommend this to first-time visitors to Kyoto who want to see many sights.
Highly recommended for families traveling with children! Changing flight times is extremely convenient, eliminating worries about flight delays and saving a lot of queuing time. When entering the station, you can scan your child's barcode first to let them pass, then scan the barcodes of accompanying family members, and finally swipe your card to enter. The whole process is smooth and convenient! Exiting the station follows the same process. Just make sure your internet connection is working after you get off the plane, otherwise you won't be able to scan your card to enter the station!
It's a pity the weather was bad and we couldn't take the boat, but the little train and the horseback riding trails were beautiful. Our guide, Kelly, was friendly and gave detailed explanations. 👍👍👍
A teacher from Shandong came to teach Chinese. First, she ground her own matcha powder, then someone helped her filter it into a fine powder. Later, she moved to a different table, brewed the matcha with hot water, and then prepared the tea. First, she used a brush to stir it in circles, then quickly stirred it back and forth in straight lines to create foam, which carried away the bitterness. She was served a matcha sweet and chocolate, and finally a cup of genmaicha (brown rice tea). I learned some history and knowledge about matcha from the teacher. Matcha and tea preparation originated in China. Grinding it into powder allows you to eat the tea leaves, providing vitamin C. Good matcha doesn't have a bitter taste. Lei Jiayin (a famous Taiwanese singer) has also been to this shop. I heard he likes to come to Kyoto and often appears in Uji. The shop owner is a 16th-generation descendant, making it a rather traditional shop.
