Asahi Funagawa Spring Quartet: A breathtaking blend of cherry blossoms, tulips, canola flowers, and the snow-capped Alps
Located in the Funagawa area of Asahi Town, Toyama, this unique spectacle occurs every spring: the snow-capped peaks of Mt. Asahi in the Alps, rows of Somei Yoshino cherry trees blooming along the Funagawa River, colorful tulip fields, and golden seas of canola flowers. These four distinct spring landscapes appear simultaneously, creating a layered and stunning visual experience, hence the name 'Quartet'. *Expected blooming period: Early April to mid-April.
National Treasure Inuyama Castle: Stroll through Inuyama Castle Town - Built in 1537, it is one of the oldest existing wooden castle keeps in Japan and is designated as one of the five national treasure castles (alongside Himeji, Matsumoto, Hikone, and Matsue Castles). Inuyama Castle is not only a historical site but also an excellent vantage point for overlooking the Kiso River and the distant mountains, full of Sengoku-period atmosphere and cultural value.
Inuyama City is famous for the spectacular view created by the historic Inuyama Castle and the beautiful rows of cherry trees along the Kiso River. Every spring, with Inuyama Castle as a backdrop, the cherry blossoms on both banks bloom and reflect on the river, creating a dreamlike and stunning scene.
Inuyama Castle Town retains its nostalgic atmosphere, with streets lined with Japanese confectionery shops, local snacks, cafes, and kimono rental shops, making it perfect for strolling and taking photos.
Kenrokuen Garden - One of Japan's three most beautiful gardens, alongside Kairakuen in Mito and Korakuen in Okayama. Originally the garden of the Kanazawa Castle lord, it was expanded over generations to become a beautiful strolling-style garden. It was named for the six attributes described in the Song Dynasty text 'Chronicles of Famous Luoyang Gardens': spaciousness, seclusion, human ingenuity, antiquity, water features, and panoramic views. You can enjoy different seasonal beauties in Kenrokuen, from spring cherry blossoms and summer irises to autumn foliage and winter snow-hanging (yukitsuri).
Stepping from the quiet beauty of winter into the spring when plants sprout, the most unmissable sight in Kenrokuen in April is the cherry blossoms in full bloom. Cherry trees are planted throughout the garden, and as you stroll through, you can enjoy the sight of cherry blossoms wherever you look, fully enjoying a relaxing time of cherry blossom viewing.
Kanazawa Castle Park - Located next to Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Castle Park was the residence of the Maeda clan, the lords of the Kaga Domain. The park preserves precious historical structures such as the Ishikawa-mon Gate and the Sanjikken Nagaya, bearing witness to the glorious 300-year history of this castle town. Every spring, over 300 Somei Yoshino cherry trees bloom in the park, adorning the solemn and rustic castle with romantic pink hues, making it one of the premier cherry blossom viewing spots in the Hokuriku region.
Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village - Surrounded by deep mountains and cold climates, local residents built roofs in a prayer-hand (gassho) style using straw and reeds to shelter from wind and snow. UNESCO has registered the Ogimachi Gassho-zukuri village in Shirakawa-go and the nearby Shirayama area as a World Heritage site. With over 113 traditional wooden houses in the gassho-zukuri style, walking through Shirakawa-go feels like stepping into a gingerbread house street in a fairy tale.

If attractions cannot be visited due to bad weather or traffic conditions, the tour leader reserves the right to change or cancel parts of the itinerary for the safety of all participants. Participants may not request a refund or price reduction for this reason.
On the day of the tour, stay times at attractions may be adjusted or some attractions may be canceled due to road conditions, etc. The arrival time for the return trip may also be significantly delayed. Please avoid scheduling other activities for that evening. Thank you for your understanding.
If you leave the tour midway, it will be considered a voluntary withdrawal, and no refunds will be provided. You will be responsible for any personal or property losses resulting from this decision.
During free time, please be mindful of your personal and property safety. Any accidents or losses resulting from ignoring warnings are the traveler's own responsibility.

If the tour is terminated due to force majeure such as weather or natural disasters after departure, refunds for unperformed parts of the itinerary will be based on actual costs incurred. If roads are closed due to force majeure such as wind or snow, making it impossible to reach Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village, the itinerary will be changed to a stroll through Magome-juku.
Meeting point: The JR Nagoya Station Taiko-dori Exit is currently under construction and there are no clear signs around it. Please refer to the Google Maps location shown on the product page.
The cherry blossom season may be slightly affected by weather conditions. Please be aware that once the tour is confirmed, it will proceed as scheduled regardless of the blooming status.
Cancellation Policy
- For cancellations made at least 41 day(s) prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 5% will apply
- For cancellations made 31 to 40 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 10% will apply
- For cancellations made 21 to 30 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 20% will apply
- For cancellations made 2 to 20 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 30% will apply
- For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
