Takayama

Starting from Nagoya Station, we traveled to Gujo-hachiman, Takayama City, and Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri village in Gifu Prefecture. The weather was very hot that day, but traveling by bus with my family was very comfortable and convenient, without the need for transfers or getting lost. The tour guide was very professional, providing detailed explanations in Chinese, Japanese, and English, and was also very helpful in recommending lunch spots and popular restaurants. The driver was also very steady, stopping at a rest stop for restrooms on the return trip from Gassho-zukuri village, and we arrived back at Nagoya Station on time. I highly recommend this tour!

It's simple and easy to use, and the price is relatively affordable. There weren't many people that day, so I recommend going in the morning; you're more likely to encounter heavy fog in the afternoon.

Our first chartered car experience was excellent. From booking and consultation to response, everything was incredibly fast. We could ask questions and received expert advice. Mr. Hashimoto, who greeted us upon arrival in Japan, was extremely nice (highly recommended!). He was very accommodating during any changes to the itinerary and even worried we might get lost. The entire trip was very comfortable, and our family had a wonderful time. Thank you so much! We'll definitely use our chartered car service again next time.

We went as a family and Mr. Liu provided instructions & suggestions in English & Mandarin. He offered to lead people though a tour guide was not to be included. I wish we had a bit more time in Takayama (1.5 hrs) as I felt a bit rushed and couldn’t do everything. Even in Shirakawago, if you want to do the Observation deck it would be rushed plus the lunch break was during that stop (2.5 hrs). But regardless we got a taste of Takayama and Shirakawago. The tour mainly provided a ride instead of having to deal with train transfers. We were in a large bus with mostly Chinese tourists, I think only 2 families needed English translation. The seats on the bus were a bit tight so may not be comfortable for larger size people but we did make stops for restrooms. If you have an odd number of people, you may need to sit with strangers.
