Product Info

★ A breathtaking view you must see at least once!! The stunning curves of the snow walls! People walking in awe in front of towering snow walls!
☆ Tateyama Kurobe Snow Wall Festival ☆

The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route in spring is famous worldwide for the "Snow Otani" of Tateyama Kurobe! The "Snow Otani" is formed by clearing snow from the roads around Murodo Terminal, creating walls that stretch for about 500 meters, known as the "Snow Wall."

Highlight 1: "Snow Wall Walk"

A massive snow wall towering up to 20 meters appears in the Tateyama Murodo Plateau, one of the snowiest regions in the world. The "Snow Wall Walk" event lets you experience walking through this giant snow wall. Enjoy breathtaking views of the towering snow walls, the contrast of the blue sky above, and the silver snow landscape below—truly a representative scenic view of spring Tateyama Kurobe.

Highlight 2: "Snow Corridor"

A snow corridor is created by clearing the pathway between the rooftop of Murodo Terminal and the Tateyama Nature Conservation Center. The snow walls here often exceed 8 meters in height around April, providing a powerful experience that rivals the Snow Wall.

Highlight 3: "Mikurigaike" – A Scene Only Visible Now During the Snow Melt

From May to June, Mikurigaike Pond features a translucent blue surface with floating white ice sheets (snow floes), creating a scene often compared to "cider floats." Be sure to experience this limited-time beauty of spring.

Highlight 4: Encountering the Rare Alpine Bird "Raicho"

The area around the lake is home to the special natural monument, the "Raicho" (Rock Ptarmigan). During this time of year, your chances of encountering the Raicho are highest—if you're lucky, you may spot one!

★ Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route – One of the world’s premier mountain tourism routes, crossing the Northern Alps.
The one-way fare of 12,170 yen (from Dentetsu Toyama to Tateyama to Ogizawa) is included in the tour price.
[Tateyama to Ogizawa: Alpine Route Traverse]

The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is a world-renowned mountain route crossing the Northern Alps, with peaks over 3,000 meters. Stretching 37.2 km with a maximum elevation difference of 1,975 meters, it passes through the Chubu Sangaku National Park. Enjoy the stunning natural beauty of Tateyama Kurobe, transferring between transport modes from Tateyama Station to Ogizawa Station, and visiting scenic spots along the way.

★ "Snow Pocket" and "Kurobe Dam" in the Daikanbo area
[Daikanbo Area]

Next to Murodo Station, Daikanbo Station and its rooftop observatory offer panoramic views of Lake Kurobe and the Hakutetsu Mountain Range. During the season, a snow tunnel appears! Walk through the tunnel to view the ropeway and Lake Kurobe.
Available from mid-May to mid-June.

[Japan’s Longest One-span Ropeway ]

The Tateyama Ropeway connects Daikanbo and Kurobedaira without a single support pillar, offering a 360-degree panoramic view as a moving observation deck. From large windows, enjoy views of Daikanbo’s steep slopes to the west and the Hakutetsu Range to the east.

[Impressive Scale of Kurobe Dam]

The Kurobe Dam, Japan’s tallest at 186 meters, is one of the country’s largest. During this time, as tourist discharge has not yet started, there are fewer visitors, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful snow-covered scenery in peace.

★ Kamikochi, one of Japan’s renowned mountain resorts

Kamikochi is a mountainous scenic area in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, located at an altitude of about 1,500 meters. Part of Chubu Sangaku National Park, it is designated as a Special Scenic Spot and Special Natural Monument. From Kappa Bridge, which spans the Azusa River in the Hida Mountain Range (Northern Alps), you can enjoy views of the towering Hotaka Peaks, reaching over 3,000 meters. Popular walking routes include Taisho Pond, Myojin Pond, and Tokusawa, where visitors can immerse themselves in stunning landscapes. With 1.5 million visitors annually, it’s a lively mountain resort perfect for refreshing your mind.

[About 5 hours to explore♪]

Enjoy ample time to explore popular spots like Kappa Bridge, Taisho Pond, and Myojin Pond, which are famous in photos. Take your time and leisurely enjoy the scenery without rushing.

[Regarding Kamikochi Drop-off Locations]
