- This is a free-form individual trip using reserved or unreserved seats on the Shinkansen. There will be no staff escort.
- For the round-trip ticket ofㄑ the Hokuriku Shinkansen, we will reserve seats based on the following times. We cannot accept requests or changes from customers.
*As this is a very popular route, if the reserved seats listed below are full, we will provide you with unreserved seats. (There are no refunds for unreserved seats.)

- How to issue JR Shinkansen tickets (reserved seat tickets/unreserved seat tickets)
*Three days before your departure, you will be notified of the two numbers required to issue your Shinkansen ticket via your KKday "Message Management" page.
1. JR authentication number (11 digits) 2. JR receipt number (4 digits)
*JR Shinkansen tickets can be purchased at JR station ticket machines. *CXL is not possible after tickets have been purchased. We recommend that you purchase your ticket on the day of departure, leaving yourself plenty of time.
① The Shinkansen ticket vending machine is located near the ticket gate. Use the same ticket vending machine as in the photo. Select the language with the (A) button on the top right. *English is selected for this explanation.
② (B) Press “Receive ticket.”
③ (C) Click "Pick up ticket booked through travel agency."
④ (D) Press "JR authentication number/JR collection number."
⑤ (E) Enter your “JR authentication number/JR collection number” (F) and press “Confirm” .
⑥ The reservation details confirmation will be displayed. (G) After checking, press "Confirm".
⑦ The issued tickets will be issued. For each person, one ticket for the go trip and one for the return trip will be issued for reserved seats, and two tickets for the go trip and two for the return return will be issued for unreserved seats.
Regarding unreserved seats on the Joetsu Shinkansen: Below is the train configuration diagram for the Joetsu Shinkansen Toki. Cars 1 to 5 in blue are unreserved seats. The car numbers for reserved and unreserved seats vary depending on the train. If you are taking an unreserved seat, please make sure to check which car the unreserved seat car is before boarding. All cars are non-smoking.
Information about JR Karuizawa Station and exchanging "Sawaya Jam": JR Shinkansen Karuizawa Station's shinkansen arrives at the platform on the 1st floor. The ticket gate exit is on the 3rd floor. When you exit the ticket gate on the 3rd floor, the north exit is on the left and the south exit is on the right. If you go left after exiting the ticket gate, you will find the souvenir shop "Shinanoya Karuizawa", inside which is the "Sawaya" store. To exchange for "Sawaya Jam", please present the electronic coupon at this store. *Please note that it cannot be exchanged at the Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza store. *Please see below for instructions on how to use the electronic coupon.
How to use the e-coupon and how to exchange for tickets: Three days before your departure, the following information will be sent to your KKday "Message Management". Your coupon login number (8 alphanumeric characters starting with 5D, for example) 5D123456. The URL for the operation screen for exchanging the coupon *The screen in the URL is only in English. ◆How to exchange the coupon for a ticket *This operation is only possible on the day of use. ◎What to do first: Three days before your departure, the URL for the e-coupon will be displayed in your KKday "Message Management". On the day of your departure, tap on it at the ski resort. ①Enter your coupon login number. ②Enter the number of people using the service. *This function allows each person in your group to use the service at different times. ③A confirmation screen will be displayed. If it is correct, press "To the staff confirmation screen". ④When the screen changes, show the screen to the staff without touching "Use With Slide". *If you are asked for a password, the staff will enter it for you. ⑤When you receive the ticket from the staff, the "Used" mark will be displayed.

②To get the souvenir Sawaya jam (1 piece), you can issue an electronic coupon on your smartphone and exchange it at the Sawaya Karuizawa Station store (inside Shinanoya Karuizawa on the 3rd floor of Karuizawa Station) during business hours (10:00-19:00).
- Once your reservation arrangements are complete, you will receive a message from the tour operator in your "Message Manager".

For Sawaya jam, please choose one of the small size jams from "Red Apple Jam", "Kiwi Fruit Jam" or "Orange Marmalade" at the store on the day. Jam types may change.
In case of injury, we recommend that you take out travel insurance and/or accident insurance before you depart on your trip.
If the JR Shinkansen is cancelled due to weather, we will refund the full amount of your trip. In this case, please make sure to cancel your reservation on the KKday website before purchasing your JR Shinkansen ticket.
Please note that once a JR Shinkansen ticket has been issued, no refunds will be given regardless of cancellation procedures.
