Although the earthquake caused a route change, the tour guide still managed to arrange the itinerary well. The hotel has a large public bath and private baths, and the dinner selection is plentiful.
If you were to visit the Kamikochi and Kurobe Alpine Route on your own, you would need to do a lot of research and it would be quite inconvenient. With KKDAY's tour, we saved a lot of time on planning and didn't have to worry about many things. It was a worry-free, comfortable group tour. Our guide, Zheng Qiang, was very interesting and interactive, and he even took photos for us. He seemed to have a passion for photography, so his photos turned out quite well. The attractions are definitely worth visiting. The transportation, accommodation, and restaurant meals were all excellent. Overall, aside from having to get up early, there's nothing to complain about. Thumbs up!
The meeting point was clearly defined in the morning. There were rest stops on both the outward and return journeys, with a 3.5-hour stop upon reaching Kamikochi. Since this was my second visit, my main goal was to visit Myojin Pond and Taisho Pond (I didn't go into two other ponds along the way) -> Kappa Bridge -> right to Myojin Pond -> left back to Kappa Bridge -> back to the bus terminal at 3:30 PM. I took deep breaths in the mountain forest, walking and taking photos, not lingering long, only bringing water and sweets to replenish my energy. Surprisingly, I completed the 10km hike. Before reaching Taisho Pond, there were cherry blossoms and layered greenery along the way, only visible in early spring. I'd definitely go again in different seasons. For solo travelers, it's good to choose a tour company, but there are also group tours that involve taking a bus.
This trip to the Kamikochi region of the Japanese Alps was absolutely perfect! Although the round trip from Nagoya wasn't short, the professional guidance of our guide, Mr. Feng, kept the pace excellent, making it completely stress-free. Highlights: • Strolling through breathtaking hidden gems: We started from Taisho Pond and hiked all the way to Kappa Bridge. This route is the essence of Kamikochi, with shimmering lake reflections, crystal-clear streams, and the magnificent Hotaka mountain range – it was like a fairyland. • Professional guide, Mr. Feng: Mr. Feng was incredibly attentive and responsible, not only explaining the local history and natural ecology along the way but also pointing out the best photo spots. Under his guidance, we were able to experience nature in the most relaxed and comfortable way. • Smooth itinerary: For those who don't want to drive or take complicated transfers, this round trip from Nagoya was extremely efficient, perfect for travelers wanting a day trip to explore the hidden gems of the Hokuriku region. I'm so glad we had such a great guide and such great weather; this hiking trip was truly refreshing and rejuvenating.
The driver was very polite and drove very steadily. Although I couldn't understand Japanese, the meeting time was displayed on a sign. We had four hours to explore Kamikochi, which was plenty of time.
Great, the meeting point was clearly marked, the tour guide was excellent, and there was plenty of time.
