1. If you want to enjoy the Upper Highlands, choose to stay 4 hours of the trip to take the A + B route is definitely enough, the scenery is beautiful, the trail is also very good to walk, and there is time to go to the souvenir shop on the side. People with poor leg strength can also choose routes A or B, and there is plenty of rest time. 2. Although the hot spring hotel stayed at night is relatively old, but the environment is clean, breakfast / dinner buffet options are also quite many, delicious, more unfortunately the environment oil smoke smell is heavier. 3. The next day to Kurobe Tateyama, the tour guide Ame arranged for us the next section of transportation time, as long as the agreed time to the fixed point can go to the next stop, the night before checking into the hotel also stopped supermarket so that we can prepare food for the mountain or evening dim sum, do not worry about running out of food. There is also a stop at a rest stop on the return trip to Nagoya Station, where you can get off to buy things and go to the toilet. In the car there will also be a brief explanation of the background of the place we headed to, and after getting off the car was very active in helping to take pictures. The only drawback was that the weather was relatively bad that day and I couldn't go down to walk on the snow wall, but the overall experience was great!
Shanggaodi is definitely worth visiting once, twice, or even three times. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and our tour guide, Ms. Zhang Jingjuan, provided very detailed explanations and offered friendly service, which greatly enhanced the trip.
We'll meet at the designated location at 8:00 AM (Ms. Zhang is our guide today). At 9:20 AM, we'll stop at a rest stop for restroom breaks, and arrive at Kamikochi around 11:30 AM. The guide will introduce the Kamikochi trails on the bus and confirm your drop-off points. We'll disembark at Taisho Pond, and all return buses will depart from the main bus terminal. The guide will walk with us from Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge, and will also introduce delicious apple pie, Azumino yogurt, and more on the bus. We'll meet at 3:00 PM to prepare for the return trip, which will include one more rest stop. We'll arrive back at Nagoya Station around 6:46 PM. Due to a landslide on National Route 158, buses will need to take a detour, adding a little extra time to the journey. Otherwise, everything is fine. The weather in Kamikochi is fantastic—the wind is refreshing, and the water is crystal clear—it's truly chill. Although we spent a lot of time on transportation, it was definitely worth it. I highly recommend trying the yogurt; it's incredibly delicious!
This trip to Kamikochi was very well planned. Although the round trip from Tokyo was nearly 10 hours, the rest stops and restroom breaks were well-arranged. The two drivers/guides explained the rest stops, meeting times, and travel conditions very clearly. Even though I don't understand Japanese, I could understand using a mobile phone translator. Meeting times were also clearly marked on the bus, which was very thoughtful and reassuring. There was ample time to relax and enjoy the scenery in Kamikochi without feeling rushed. The weather was great that day, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. It was a tiring but very worthwhile trip. 👍
Hiking up the highlands and enjoying the scenery was amazing. The best part was the beautiful environment, fresh air, and wonderful people. No matter how far you hiked, you weren't tired at all! [Happy] The temperature was perfect (around 20 degrees Celsius). Walking through the forest, with a stream beside you, gazing at the snow-capped mountains in the distance, and hearing the occasional bear bell ringing in your ears, it felt like stepping into a fairyland! So refreshing! [Winking face]
