There are tons of interactive activities related to oceanography, fisheries, and ships; even a 6-year-old primary school student found them too easy and thoroughly fun! (Of course, there are many more challenging activities, but we'll come back when he's a bit older.) It's a place where both adults and children can learn about the ocean at different levels. The surrounding environment is also fantastic, with the beach and Qingshan Square, so you won't be bored all day! We took the train from Taipei, and it's a very convenient 5-minute walk from the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology station.
Free admission for those celebrating their birthday that month, regardless of nationality. There's a delicious rice noodle shop nearby with shrimp and squid; a bowl costs NT$120. Parking requires queuing, but you can pay with an EasyCard and there are also transportation options.
We arrived before our reservation time, but were shown to our seat immediately. We were seated inside the restaurant rather than on the terrace, which we later realized was a good idea. It was a rainy and windy night, and the wind and rain made it cold on the terrace. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy the beautiful night view from our warm seat inside the restaurant, and slowly sip on our warm, delicious tea. We went to the terrace to take photos. The moment we stepped out onto the terrace, the night view unfolded before us was breathtaking! I'm so glad I made a reservation. They taught us how to brew tea the first time, and from the second time onwards, we brewed it ourselves. The tea served in the small teapot and teacups was delicious! My daughter and I were both impressed. We also enjoyed the delicious tea and sweets. Thank you very much.
Dolphins and sea lions are so cute!! I love the loving interactions between these adorable creatures and their trainers! And they're so pet-friendly, I'm so grateful for that!!!
I visited on October 31, 2025. My reservation was for the evening, so it was a bit chilly and I needed a jacket. The staff were very friendly, the tea was delicious, and I had a wonderful time. I'd definitely like to visit again next time.
First, check in at the GeShang car rental counter on the first floor of Tainan High Speed Rail Station. Provide your ID and driver's license for verification. The staff will provide your vehicle number and provide instructions. Then, walk to the DuDuFang parking lot under the high-speed rail (use Google Maps to locate "Quyren High Speed Rail Bridge Underground Parking Lot") where you'll see GeShang staff waiting with your car. If you have enough gas during your trip, you don't need to refuel. If you do need to refuel, a gas card is available to ease the burden. The process was smooth, with a one-hour buffer. I'll definitely rent from you again.
