The data card is cheap and convenient; you can pick it up at Taoyuan Airport Terminal 1, and the staff will process it in 2 minutes. Internet access and phone calls are smooth throughout the trip.

A 3-day unlimited ride pass for just under 10,000 yen per person is a great deal. This time, we only used it for two days across three sections: Taipei to Taichung, Taichung to Tainan, and Tainan to Taipei, but even that was cheaper than the regular price. It would be even more economical if you rode it extensively for three days. What's more, the purchase method is simple: you buy it online and receive a voucher. This time, after arriving at Taipei Station from Taoyuan Airport via the MRT, we went straight to the high-speed rail counter, received our 3-day pass from the voucher, and booked our tickets to Taichung Station for the next morning. After sightseeing in Taichung the next day, we purchased tickets to Tainan at Taichung Station, and upon arrival at Tainan Station, booked our tickets to Taipei Station for the following day, successfully completing our entire trip as planned. This 3-day pass requires face-to-face interaction at a counter rather than using vending machines or automatic ticket gates, so we were able to manage with broken English and written Chinese characters, which was reassuring. We had to show our passports (one per person) at each step of the process, but it was reassuring to know that we could purchase our tickets without any problems.

I used it for both the outbound and return journeys, and exchanging the ticket at the counter was incredibly easy. I was surprised to find that both trains were completely full. Advance reservations are definitely necessary, and the discounts are fantastic.

Getting to Jiufen and Shifen from Taipei is difficult. Even if you take a taxi, there's a risk of not being able to find one on the way back, so it ends up being more like chartering a taxi (I wonder if you can call one with an app...?) The other tourist spots were places I wouldn't have thought to go to on my own, but they were worth seeing. The weather was a bit bad, which was a shame, but I'll definitely use their services again when I return to Taiwan. Unfortunately, they didn't speak Japanese, and although I wanted to get along with them, there was a lack of communication. We ended up communicating using LINE translation... Thank you very much for your help. I think the experience varies depending on the person in charge.

I usually use a SIM card or pocket Wi-Fi, but this is easier and cheaper! Setting it up took a little effort, but I'm glad I used it. I chose the 1.5GB/day plan because I use maps constantly, and I'm happy that I was able to use it without worrying about data usage.

The setup was incredibly easy. The communication quality was also fine, and my whole family had absolutely no complaints. It's much cheaper than the options offered by Japanese carriers.

Due to the weather, our stargazing trip was changed to a 4 AM sunrise viewing trip. Fortunately, this change allowed me not only to stargaze but also to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Hehuan Mountain and the magnificent, undulating peaks nestled amidst the misty white clouds. Our driver/guide took us to various scenic spots in Wuling to take photos and also to buy some highland cabbages and fruits. Unfortunately, my husband had to drive all day and needed plenty of sleep, so he couldn't come along.

This was my first time using an eSIM, and I was glad that this product came with an extra 100MB of data for testing in Japan, which allowed me to check it before going to my destination. Since it was my first time using one, I was worried about whether it would work, but being able to test it beforehand allowed me to connect smoothly once I arrived. Also, since I entered Thailand via Taiwan during a transit, it was convenient that I could use one eSIM in both countries. The connection was smooth in both Taiwan (Taipei) and Thailand (Bangkok and Pattaya). While there are cheaper eSIMs available, I think this is a good eSIM for beginners because it allows you to practice using it.

The room was very clean, and the bed was large and comfortable, which was why we didn't choose a sea view room. You can take pictures of ships docking in Keelung Harbor from the hallway. The room also included biscuits, rice crackers, and drinks. There is a food court across from the hotel, and you can also enjoy the beauty of Keelung Harbor at night up close. The only downside is that the room door is not soundproof, and you can hear what people say in the hallway outside.

Aside from the card pickup location being a bit hard to find, everything else is great. The price is affordable, the internet speed is fast, and you can use the discounted price without needing to share with others. I highly recommend this for solo travelers.
