- About Shui Xin Yue Teahouse -
City in the Sky, ever-changing.
Here, with a pot of fragrant tea, gaze at the mountains and the sea as they stretch into the distance.
Sweep away your exhaustion and gloom, and experience the aesthetics of a five-senses lifestyle.
Shui Xin Yue Teahouse was originally called 'City in the Sky.' Standing in an open space with no obstructions, overlooking the various fishing ports of the Northeast Coast amidst the swirling clouds and mist, it resembles a castle built in the sky. Its fate is much like our main store, 'Jioufen Teahouse'; after the tea-drinking trend brought in large crowds, the name 'Jioufen' transcended what a single teahouse could bear. 'City in the Sky' also became famous because of a movie, yet it has no connection to the mountain town teahouse.
This rare red-brick building in Jiufen has a unique architectural structure and was selected by the New Taipei City Government as a 'Model Building.' It was originally the private creative space of artist Hung Chih-sheng and was later opened as a lifestyle aesthetics hall for tea, pottery, and painting. Here, you can drink tea while gazing at the mountains and the sea, experiencing the aesthetics of a five-senses lifestyle. 'Shui Xin Yue Teahouse,' the sister store of Jioufen Teahouse located at No. 308, Qingbian Road, reopened on May 10, 2005, after six months of interior renovations. The interior decor emphasizes artistic elements, and the space is filled with an artistic atmosphere. A pot of fragrant tea can quickly sweep away a traveler's exhaustion and gloom.
The various floors are hung with oil paintings created and collected by the owner, and the display cases are filled with selected teas and pottery, fully highlighting the owner's deep love for 'tea, pottery, and painting.' Through sharing experiences of 'tea, pottery, and painting,' we engage in intellectual and emotional exchanges with friends who visit, enjoying a true half-day of leisure. From Shen'ao Bay, Badouzi Peninsula, Bisha Fishing Port, Heping Island, Keelung Port, Yehliu Peninsula, to the Jinshan Tiaoshi Coast, the view stretches from near to far before our eyes. The mountain mists and sea fogs of the day, the sunset glow at dusk, and the streetlights and fishing fires at night continue to unfold, showcasing the ever-changing scenery of the North Taiwan coastline. If you have the chance to visit Jiufen, please enjoy it all to the fullest!
