Senaga Island

The photography team was very patient and friendly during the photoshoot, which made the children feel at ease.

Although it was a return trip to Okinawa, this time I visited new attractions such as Sea Grapes, Senaga Island, and Cape Chinen, all of which were very unique, making for a very fulfilling itinerary.

The tour is comprehensive, covering all the major attractions. The travel time and stopover time are very well controlled. The tour guide provides excellent and complete explanations along the way (including the origin of the name "Okinawa" and the fact that many customs of the Ryukyu Kingdom are inherited from China, such as dragon boat racing). You don't need to drive or take a ride yourself; someone will take you there and provide explanations (you will learn much more than if you went on your own). It is highly recommended for first-time visitors to Okinawa.

I only wanted to visit Okinawa's famous Gyokusendo Cave, but most tours on the market are one-day trips. Fortunately, I found a half-day tour with a local Japanese travel agency. Although I couldn't understand the Japanese tour guide's introduction on the bus, she clearly marked the boarding time and I boarded on time. If there were no problems, I didn't need to communicate at all and had a very relaxed and comfortable trip.

I'd been wanting to try it for a long time, and finally had the chance. I have a driver's license, but haven't driven in years, so I was quite worried at first and even asked my instructor if it would be okay. He said it was fine. I bought insurance on-site for 1000 yen, just in case of a collision! I was a little nervous at first, but after a while, I got used to it. The instructor led the way, helping me see the road and guiding me, and even took lots of photos at red lights! They even printed two photos for me afterward. An hour was just right; lots of people were waving and filming on the road, which was really cool! The whole thing was in English, but it wasn't difficult. We even met another group of Taiwanese people and drove together! Buying through KKday got me a discount, super cost-effective!

Although we didn't have a guide, we still had a lot of fun and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We saw amazing stalactites and lots of adorable animals 😍 We ate very fresh seafood at the fish market, and in the afternoon we visited the aquarium and shopping area, where we could take photos with cute owls. Finally, Senaga Island was absolutely gorgeous! Although it was very windy and cold 🥹, it was a very fulfilling and enjoyable day. I'm already looking forward to my next trip 🥰
