The world's second-largest aquarium (after Abu Dhabi) and Asia's largest, the beautiful Churaumi Aquarium, has arrived!! While most of the marine animals on display can be seen in other aquariums, this one boasts the largest captive whale sharks and manta rays. I also noticed that different aquariums have their own training methods for whale and dolphin shows, always eliciting laughter and surprise from the audience. During this visit, I learned some new facts: 1. When whale sharks inhale large amounts of seawater to feed, their unique internal organs allow them to ingest small fish and shrimp for digestion, while the seawater is expelled again through their gills. 2. Dolphins are mammals, and because they have a spinal cord, their tails move up and down when swimming (similar to the butterfly stroke in humans); sharks, being true fish, move their tails side to side. On average, sharks swim faster than dolphins, similar to the food chain relationship between a cheetah and an antelope. 3. Sea snakes are covered in scales, unlike amphibious snakes which have a distinct belly and back.
Getting on and off the bus is very convenient, and the journey is quiet, making it a great bus for resting and sightseeing. It's really fantastic! I highly recommend everyone buy one; it's really great and convenient!
I will continue to use KKday car rental on my next trip to Okinawa. I rented a car near Kokusai-dori. However, please note that they are only open until 7:00 PM, so the return time will coincide with the end of the workday. The traffic is quite heavy, and the roads in Naha city are congested everywhere, making turning very difficult.
The tour guide was very nice, and everyone was punctual. There are two easy-go tours, one for central Japan and one for northern Japan, so make sure to ask for the meeting point. The tour guide will also check the passenger list before boarding. Arrive early to avoid getting on the wrong bus. Seating is assigned, so please don't sit randomly. It rained heavily on January 1st, which unfortunately prevented us from taking many good photos of the outdoor scenery. Cape Manzamo was especially beautiful, but the heavy rain made it difficult. The aquarium was nice, but it was very crowded and uncomfortable during the Japanese New Year. If you're interested in American fashion, the last stop, American Village, has many authentic and high-quality clothing items, including fan-made American comic book costumes – you'll have plenty to choose from. Therefore, one hour isn't enough time to explore American Village. If you want to explore properly, you can leave the group and take a bus back to Naha city. I recommend choosing a weekday with good weather for the entire trip; it will be perfect. Otherwise, carrying an umbrella all the time can be quite inconvenient.
