This tour was definitely worth joining. It conveniently took us to different attractions and allowed us to learn about the design of the Huang Huihuang Western-style buildings and village architecture, as well as the history of the August 23 Artillery Battle. At the Mashan Observatory, we learned about the defense of Kinmen back then. Our guide, Mr. He, was very thoughtful; he specially took us to the Zhongshan Forest Visitor Center to watch a 10-minute film to learn about the culture and customs of Kinmen and to introduce us to the village of Hecuo. I didn't know that there used to be horse racing there. Finally, he took us to watch the sunset and we took some beautiful photos. I was also very happy that Mr. He took us to eat the fast food that soldiers often eat, the very fragrant taro milk ice, sorghum minced pork rice, and chicken soup with a special ingredient—all of which are definitely worth trying.

Kinmen Island isn't very big, but the tourist attractions are scattered all over, so you'll need a car or motorbike. Rather than driving myself in unfamiliar territory, I hired a professional to enjoy sightseeing. The driver was friendly, drove carefully, and I had a very positive experience. We were able to discuss and decide on the sightseeing route together, so there was a high degree of flexibility, and I would recommend it.
