As Japanese law stipulates that vehicles cannot be used for more than 10 hours, the tour guide will reasonably arrange the itinerary time for each attraction based on the actual situation of the day. The itinerary may be adjusted depending on traffic and weather conditions, so your understanding is appreciated.

Due to severe crowds and traffic congestion during the Japanese New Year period (December 27th to January 4th) and Coming-of-Age Day (January 12th), the planned trip to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine will be suspended. The itinerary will be flexibly rescheduled to Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) and Yufuin to ensure a smooth and comfortable overall travel experience. Please be aware of this.
Flower season tours are highly susceptible to weather conditions, and the flowers may not be in good condition. We cannot guarantee the best viewing period. We will not be held responsible for any issues arising from unsatisfactory flower conditions. Please be aware of this.
During Japan's Golden Week holiday, severe traffic congestion occurs every year on the roads leading to and from Mount Yufu and Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. To ensure a smooth trip, these attractions will not be visited during this period.
Yufuin is renowned for its picturesque natural beauty, nestled at the foot of Mount Yufu. It's famous for tranquil Lake Kinrin, where warm and cold springs meet, creating mist at dawn. The town also attracts visitors with its charming streets, unique art galleries, boutique shops, and cozy cafes, offering a serene escape. It's a popular onsen resort with a relaxing atmosphere.
Yufuin Onsen is rich in beneficial minerals like silica, calcium, and sodium bicarbonate, known for their therapeutic properties. Soaking in these waters can promote blood circulation, relieve muscle stiffness, and alleviate stress, offering deep relaxation. Many believe it can also soften and rejuvenate the skin, contributing to overall well-being and a sense of calm.
Yes, Yufuin is well-known for offering numerous private onsen options, providing a more intimate and personal bathing experience. Many traditional ryokans (Japanese inns) feature rooms with private open-air baths or offer reservable private family baths (kashikiri-buro) for guests. Some day-trip onsen facilities also provide private rooms with hot spring access, which can often be booked in advance.
Historically, many Japanese onsen have strict rules against visible tattoos due to cultural associations. While this tradition still exists in some Yufuin onsen, there's a growing trend towards more flexibility, especially for foreign visitors. Some establishments might ask you to cover smaller tattoos with waterproof bandages. If you have larger tattoos, seeking private onsen baths or choosing a ryokan with private in-room onsen is recommended to ensure a comfortable experience.
At Beppu Stove Hell (Kamado Jigoku), visitors can experience one of the seven "Hells of Beppu," known for their unique geothermal phenomena. This particular hell features various boiling ponds, including a vibrant blue pond and a mud bubble hell. You can witness steam vents, enjoy a natural foot bath, and even sample local treats like eggs and pudding cooked using the natural geothermal steam, providing a sensory and relaxing experience.
Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine holds profound historical and cultural significance as it is dedicated to Sugawara Michizane, a revered scholar and politician of the Heian period. He is deified as Tenjin, the god of learning, culture, and calligraphy. Students often visit to pray for academic success. The shrine is famous for its beautiful plum trees (Michizane's favorite), the unique architecture of its main hall, and ancient artifacts, making it a key historical site in Kyushu.
In Yufuin Town, visitors should definitely explore Lake Kinrin, famous for its morning mist and reflections, creating a magical atmosphere. Stroll along Yunotsubo Kaido, the charming main street, which is lined with unique boutiques, craft shops, art galleries, and cafes. Don't miss sampling local delicacies like B-Speak's famous roll cake or visiting themed stores like Donguri no Mori, a Ghibli-themed shop, for delightful souvenirs.
The day trip from Fukuoka significantly simplifies transportation to attractions such as Yufuin and Beppu Stove Hell by providing a comfortable, designated private bus service. This eliminates the need for personal navigation, public transport transfers, or worrying about parking. A professional Chinese tour guide accompanies the group, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and stress-free journey, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the scenic routes and destinations without logistical concerns.
