Although it rained almost constantly throughout the trip, leaving me soaked and then drying off repeatedly, our driver/guide, Chang, provided professional commentary, drove carefully, and arranged the itinerary well. I give him a 5-star rating.
Starting from Hakata, Fukuoka, taking a day tour by bus is a great option, eliminating the hassle of transfers. The tour started with the Kanmon Strait and the Akiyoshi-dō limestone cave, followed by an elevator ride to the Akiyoshidai Karst Observatory. We had burdock noodles at Azumiya for lunch, then visited Motonosumi Inari Shrine and the Tsunoshima Bridge. The pace was excellent, and I think it was well worth it. A big thank you to our enthusiastic guide, Thomas, who was professional and attentive, taking many great photos for me.
Moji Port is a great place to take pictures of the architecture and have lunch. Motonosumi Shrine is really beautiful, but it's really far away. It's a pity I didn't get to see the night view this time. The clouds on the mountain were too thick. The tour guide was lovely and funny, but the bus was small and not very comfortable for a long time!
A very fulfilling trip, the wisteria in full bloom smelled wonderful. Thank you so much.
