Okinawa Kume Island Day Tour | From Naha - Ocean Jet High-Speed Ferry Same-Day Return - Hatenohama Beach / Self-Drive Exploration

＜Pre-departure Information and Departure Process＞

•  This tour is a semi-independent package. You must redeem your round-trip ferry tickets yourself, and there is no guide or staff accompanying you throughout the trip. Upon arrival at Kume Island, local staff will greet you and assist you to Hatenohama Beach.
• Please make your own way to the Naha Tomari Port Passenger Terminal. Go to the Kume Island Ocean Jet counter to present your booking number, redeem your physical ferry tickets, and board the ferry on your own. (The ferry booking number will be provided via email or the system message box one day before the activity.)

＜Notes for the Hatenohama Beach Landing Package＞

• After the ferry arrives, please look for the local staff holding a sign that says Cerulean Blue Okinawa or New Wave. They will guide you to the pier to board the shuttle boat to Hatenohama Beach.
• Infants aged 3 and under can participate for free, but they are not provided with a seat and must be held by an accompanying guardian during the boat and car rides.
• Travelers under 12 years old cannot participate in the activity alone and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Travelers under 18 years old participating in the activity alone must provide a written consent form signed by a parent or guardian.
• Those with limited mobility, physical disabilities, pregnancy, mental illness, or those who are hungover or have consumed alcohol on the day of the activity are not permitted to participate.
• This activity does not provide service in Chinese. On-site communication is only possible in very simple English. If you are concerned about potential communication issues due to language barriers, please do not book this activity.
• If you fail to follow the instructor's directions or if it is determined that there are safety concerns due to language barriers or other factors, the operator reserves the right to refuse your participation on the day of the activity without a refund.
• Guests who book the Kume Island Day Tour | Ocean Jet High-Speed Ferry Round-Trip Ticket & Hatenohama Beach Bathing package will return to the port at approximately 12:00. You will then have three hours of free time. Please arrange your own activities, lunch, and transportation during this time (the main tourist area is near the pier, and you can walk to restaurants or tourist attractions such as the Tatami Stones).
  

＜Notes for Landing on Hatenohama Beach＞

• To accommodate the return ferry schedule, if there are travelers aged 8 and under or aged 65 and over in your group, please book the Kume Island Day Tour | Ocean Jet High-Speed Ferry Round-Trip Ticket & Hatenohama Beach Bathing package. If anyone in your group wishes to participate in snorkeling, please purchase it on-site after arriving at Hatenohama Beach.
• Kume Island's Hatenohama Beach is a sandbar, and tidal changes significantly affect boat docking and water activities. In the event of a low tide or ebb tide, boats may not be able to approach the beach, or the water depth at snorkeling spots may be insufficient. Therefore, the Hatenohama Beach itinerary may be subject to temporary adjustments to departure times, ferry schedules, or activity content due to force majeure factors such as sea conditions, weather, or tides on the day. The time for beach bathing and snorkeling may be shortened. The actual boat departure time to Hatenohama Beach will be arranged by the on-site staff who will communicate with you directly. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. (The stay duration at each location on Kume Island in the itinerary is for reference only.)
• The activity will only take place at the Nakanohama area of Hatenohama Beach and will not land on the main Hatenohama island.

＜Notes for Participating in Hatenohama Beach Water Activities＞

• For safety reasons, travelers aged 8 and under and aged 65 and over cannot participate in snorkeling activities. If you are outside this age range, please choose the Kume Island Day Tour | Ocean Jet High-Speed Ferry Round-Trip Ticket & Hatenohama Beach Bathing package.
• Those with cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, high blood pressure, otitis media, epilepsy, diabetes, liver disease, or those who are hungover or have consumed alcohol on the day of the activity are not permitted to participate in water activities. If your health condition is deemed unsuitable for participation on the day, the operator reserves the right to refuse your participation.
• Please be aware that even if you have had the aforementioned conditions in the past but do not require medication now, you are still not permitted to participate in this activity.
• If you have a medical condition not mentioned above, please inquire before booking. 
• The meeting time for snorkeling and other activities will be provided by the staff after you arrive at Hatenohama Beach.

＜Notes for the Car Rental Package＞

• Infants aged 3 and under can participate for free, but they are not provided with a seat and must be held by an accompanying guardian during the boat ride.
• As Kume Island is a simple, rural island, this activity does not provide service in Chinese or English. On-site communication for car rental is only possible in Japanese and with a translator. If you are concerned about potential communication issues due to language barriers, please do not book this activity.
  
• Each booking generally represents a reservation for one car. 
• If there are more than 4 participants in your group, please create separate, independent bookings.
  
• When picking up the car, please present the original driver's license of everyone who may drive the vehicle, your passport, and one of the following documents. (*If you have a Japanese driver's license, the following documents are not required.)

 ★① International Driving Permit ② Valid translation document 

1.  Documents issued by member countries of the Geneva Convention in accordance with the Geneva Convention.
2. An International Driving Permit is valid for one year from the date of issue. *Please ensure your license is within its validity period during the rental period. A translation document issued by a Japanese embassy, consulate, or the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) is sufficient for renting a car. The validity period of the translation document must be the same as the original driver's license.
3. One year after entering Japan, the translation document is considered invalid even if it is still within its validity period.
4.  If there are any modifications to the information recorded on the International Driving Permit, original domestic driver's license, or translation document, all information must be consistent to be valid.
5. Travelers holding a Taiwan driver's license can use a translation document issued by the Motor Vehicles Office, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan, or the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF). 

•  Please be sure to bring valid car rental documents on the day. If you forget them, you will not be able to complete the car rental procedure, and no refund will be provided. 
• The car will be provided with a full tank of gas. Please check this before departing, and return the car with a full tank from a designated gas station.　
• If the car is returned without a full tank, you will be charged based on the distance driven according to the rental company's conversion table. Please be aware that the fees charged by the rental company will be higher than the actual cost of refueling yourself. 
• If you extend the use of the vehicle without prior notice, you will be required to pay the specified penalty. Unauthorized extension of the rental contract is a violation of the rental agreement, and all resulting losses will be borne by the customer.
• Regardless of the size of the damage, even for self-inflicted accidents such as scratches or dents without another party involved, you must report the accident to the rental company. Insurance cannot be activated if proper procedures are not followed.
  

[About Kume Island Car Rental Pickup Service]

• Round-trip pickup is provided by only one driver.

• The pickup service is limited to one driver per trip; other group members should wait at the port.

• Please complete the car return procedure by 15:00 on the day. If you miss your return ferry, you will be responsible for any subsequent rental extension fees, ferry costs, and other arrangements.

[About Vehicle Models]

• The car rental fee is for an S-class automatic compact car. (Expected models: Passo, Note, March, Boon, Vitz)

• All vehicles are used cars; there are no new cars available.

• Only automatic transmission (AT) models are available.

[Accident Compensation System]

In the event of an accident, compensation will be provided within the following limits:

1. Personal injury compensation: Unlimited
2. Property damage compensation: JPY 5,000,000, with a deductible of JPY 50,000
3. Passenger injury: JPY 10,000,000 per person
