Product Info

Hop on a steam locomotive that only runs on special royal occasions and head to the World Heritage city of Ayutthaya! This is your chance to ride a powerful, historic locomotive! Your Japanese-speaking guide will take you to Wat Mahathat, the historic Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, and the reclining Buddha at Wat Phra Si Sanphet. This jam-packed tour even includes an elephant riding experience!

  • Thai Lunch at the local restaurant 'Aroi Ayutthaya'
We serve high-quality jasmine rice grown in one of Thailand's premier rice-producing regions, along with locally sourced vegetables from Ayutthaya's morning markets. We value local production for local consumption, and you can purchase not only food but also crafts carefully made by local artisans at our shop. Please be sure to stop by the shop after your meal.
  • Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon
Built by the first king of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, this striking temple features a massive 72-meter-tall stupa. You can climb the stupa to enjoy the surrounding views. It is an iconic Ayutthaya temple, also known for the reclining Buddha and the Buddha statues in the cloister.
  • Wat Mahathat
Famous for the iconic Buddha head entwined in tree roots. Believed to have been built in 1374 by the third king, it remains a representative ruin of the 14th century, left in the state it was in after being destroyed by the Burmese army.
  • Wat Phra Si Sanphet
The most famous ruin in Ayutthaya, featuring three Sri Lankan-style stupas in a row. This was the royal temple where three Ayutthaya kings were laid to rest. It was destroyed during the Burmese invasion in the 18th century, and today only the stupas and the remains of the pillars remain.
