On March 7, 2026, our driver, Mr. Cai, took us to Shanlinxi. Because of the winding mountain roads, we found his driving quite stable and safe, and he didn't overtake recklessly. Mr. Cai was rather quiet and didn't give us any special introductions to the sights, but he answered all our questions. The car rental coordinator was also very thoughtful; he even called Mr. Cai that day to ask me to check his messages and proactively inquired if we needed help booking lunch at Manyilou Restaurant. We chartered a car to take us to our hotel at Sun Moon Lake the day after arriving in Nantou from Taipei.
