Our driver, Xiao Wang, served us for three days, taking us around the city. He was not only a very skilled driver, but also had a great attitude, which made our trip to Fukuoka and Yufuin a safe and enjoyable one!
Our driver, Hatta Akemi, was a very steady driver and provided attentive service. Although we didn't speak each other's languages, we communicated perfectly using a mobile phone translator. At each stop, she briefly explained the earthquake that had occurred there. Her driving was comfortable, and we had a very enjoyable chartered trip.
This day trip included train and boat tours to Aso, Kusanagi, and Takachiho. Each attraction had a dedicated guide who provided detailed explanations of its history and attractions, even outlining which souvenirs to buy. The soft serve ice cream in the Aso area was incredibly rich and delicious. Since the crater was closed, we opted for the Kamishimi Kumanozha shrine instead, which was very tranquil. However, the steep shrine and Takachiho Gorge were a bit challenging due to the rain, so it's advisable to bring a raincoat or hiking poles if needed. I'm very grateful to the wonderful guide and driver throughout the trip; I had a fantastic time.
This package is only NT$1000, plus NT$1000 for Fukuoka city center, NT$2200 for the Yanagawa River cruise, and then you can exchange the tickets for four attractions at Moji Port for about NT$1000, basically breaking even. While at Fukuoka Tower, you can take the W1 bus to Fukuoka Dome and exchange the tickets for a dinner for NT$1200, which is practically a steal.
The park entrance was very affordable and beautiful, especially with the cherry blossoms falling – absolutely stunning!
