Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) One Way Tickets for Foreign Visitors

Redemption Method:

• Step.1
  Orders cannot be changed once confirmed. Please provide the full English name, gender, date of birth, passport number, and nationality as shown on your passport at the time of booking. Children under 6 years old who do not occupy a seat do not need a ticket.
• Step.2
  After the booking is completed, you will receive a confirmation email with an attachment containing your e-ticket with a redemption code. The e-ticket is valid for redemption and travel within 89 days from the day after the date of purchase.
• Step.3
  Please use the redemption code in the email attachment to book your date, train, and time in advance on the THSR Pass Official Website under 'Manage Booking'. Reservations can be made for dates within 29 days starting from today. Every Friday and Saturday, you may book up to the Sunday four weeks later (based on Taiwan time). After completing the reservation, you will receive a reservation code, which is required for ticket collection.
  Example 1: If passenger A's redemption date is 2021/01/04 (Mon), the earliest travel date they can select is 2021/02/01 (Mon).
  Example 2: If passenger B's redemption date is 2021/01/08 (Fri), the earliest travel date they can select is 2021/02/07 (Sun).
• Step.4
  When traveling, please go to the 'THSR Ticket Counter' and present your reservation code, original passport, and proof of entry (such as a visa or entry permit for short-term stays) to redeem your official physical ticket on-site.
• Step.5
  When entering the station, please use the 'Manual Gate' and keep your identification documents with you for inspection.
• If you entered your Exit & Entry Permit for Taiwan (Mainland China residents) number during booking, you must present the original permit on-site. If you entered your passport number, you must present your original passport on-site.

THSR Single Journey Ticket Redemption Process:

【Booking Process】

• Step 1. Go to the THSR Pass Official Website ➔ Click on the language selection in the top right corner ➔ Click 'Manage Booking' in the top right corner.
• Step 2. Click 'Search by Order Number' ➔ Enter your 'Voucher Number' and 'Passport Number' (information must match the details submitted at the time of booking).
• Step 3. Select the passengers for this reservation ➔ Click 'Book' ➔ Select your 'Travel Date' and 'Travel Time'.
• Step 4. Select your train (you can view other time slots for earlier or later trains) ➔ Click 'Confirm Train' ➔ Reservation complete.
• Note: If you need to change your itinerary, please do so at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the original train. Changes cannot be processed after this time.
  

【Cancel Reservation】

• Step 1. Please go to the THSR Pass Official Website online at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of your selected train ➔ Click on the language selection in the top right corner ➔ Click 'Manage Booking' in the top right corner. 
• Step 2. Click 'Search by Order Number' ➔ Enter your 'Voucher Number' and 'Passport Number' (information must match the details submitted at the time of booking).
• Step 3. Select the passengers for this cancellation ➔ Click 'Cancel Booking' ➔ Click 'Confirm'.
• Note: Cancellations and refunds are not available within 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the selected train. Once a reserved seat is cancelled, you may re-select a travel date or proceed with a refund.

THSR Single Journey Ticket Refund Policy:

• If you need a refund before making an online reservation, please click 'Cancel Order' in your KKday order management before the refund deadline. Refunds will not be processed after the deadline.
• If you need a refund after making an online reservation, please first complete the cancellation process on the THSR Pass Official Website, then click 'Cancel Order' in your KKday order management before the refund deadline. Refunds will not be processed after the deadline.
• Refunds will not be accepted once the physical ticket has been redeemed.
  
• If you require a refund, please ensure that both tickets meet the refund criteria. If one ticket has already been collected or does not meet other refund conditions, the request will not be processed.
