Carplus Car Rental: Taiwan Car Rental Self-Driving Tour Reservation

Purchase Notes -

• Vehicle rental fees are calculated in "24-hour increments". Please note this when placing your order.
  
• When placing your order, please fill in the name of the person picking up the car on-site for verification purposes.
  
• Overtime fees: Payable on-site. Each hour overdue will be charged at 1/10 of the discounted rate for the flexible package. For overdue periods of 6 hours or more, a full day fee will be charged. Weekday rates will be based on the weekday discounted rate of this promotion, and weekend rates will be based on the weekend discounted rate of this promotion or the applicable credit card discount.
  
• If you require a rental service (rented by A and returned by B), please indicate this in the remarks column and pay at the counter when picking up the vehicle.
  The rental service (rented by Party A and returned by Party B) will not be available from January 30th to February 22nd, 2026.
• Optional extras and one-way rentals must be paid for on-site. Payment is limited to credit card (except for students aged 24 and under with a student ID). No additional transaction fees will be charged for credit card payments.
• Weekdays are defined as Monday through Thursday (excluding national holidays, consecutive holidays and the day before).
  
• Holiday definition: Friday to Sunday, national holidays/consecutive holidays and the day before (including flexible holidays/make-up work days).
• For detailed coverage information, please refer to the car rental agreement ( bus rental contract ).
  
• Whether the rental service (renting from one party and returning the other) can be used depends on the availability of vehicles. Please confirm as early as possible (the short-term rental store reserves the right to accept the rental service).
• Mileage-based pricing is used, and each vehicle comes with a CPC/Formosa fuel card. Before each trip, the rental staff and the customer confirm the mileage, which is recorded in the rental agreement. Upon return, both parties reconfirm the mileage before collecting the mileage fee as agreed. The mileage fee is calculated as follows: (Return mileage - Trip mileage) * Mileage fee as per vehicle model's official announcement. Please refer to the mileage pricing details .
  
• This project does not include the rental of additional accessories (such as child safety seats, booster seats, navigation devices, dashcams) or additional services (peace of mind disclaimer service). If you require additional accessories or services, please indicate this in the remarks column and pay at the counter when picking up the vehicle.
  
  
  
  

- Required driver's licenses -

Passengers of Republic of China nationality:

• Required age: 18 years or older and driver's license must have been issued more than one year ago.
• Credit cards (for pre-authorization): Visa/MasterCard/JCB/American Express cards are accepted, and must be valid for more than 6 months. Debit/debit cards are not accepted.
• Valid identification documents: Republic of China ID card, Republic of China driver's license.

Foreign passengers:

• Required age: 18 years or older and driver's license must have been issued more than one year ago.
• Credit cards (for pre-authorization): Visa/MasterCard/JCB/American Express cards are accepted, and must be valid for more than 6 months. Debit cards/UnionPay cards are not accepted.
• Valid documents (Hong Kong and Macao visitors): original nationality driver's license, international driver's license or driving permit in Taiwan, original passport, entry permit to Taiwan (must be stamped with entry certificate).
• Valid identification documents (for non-Hong Kong and Macao visitors): original nationality driver's license, international driver's license or driving permit in Taiwan, or original passport.
• For driver's licenses from countries that are legal to drive in Taiwan, please refer to the list of reciprocal driver's licenses from major countries provided by the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Transportation and Communications .

GPS

A. Daily rental: (1) The product consumables fee is 50 NTD per day, and 25 NTD per day from the third day of continuous rental. (2) Those who are overtime within 6 hours will not be charged GPS overtime fee; those who are overtime for more than 6 hours will be charged an additional 50 NTD per day. B. Hourly rental/daily rental and return project: 50 NTD will be charged for product consumables each time.

child safety seat

Daily rental: (1) A daily fee of 100 NTD will be charged for product consumables, and 50 NTD per day starting from the third day of continuous rental. (2) Those who are overtime within 6 hours will not be charged an overtime fee for the safety seat; those who are overtime for more than 6 hours will be charged an additional 100 NTD per day.

driving recorder

A. Daily rental: (1) The product consumables fee is 100 NTD per day, and 50 NTD per day from the third day of continuous rental. (2) If the overtime is within 6 hours, no overtime fee will be charged for the driving recorder; if the overtime exceeds 6 hours, an additional 100 NTD will be charged per day. B. Hourly rental/daily rental and return project: 100 NTD will be charged for product consumables each time. C. In order to protect the privacy of the customer in the car space, after returning the car and confirming that the customer has no video needs, the store staff will clear the memory card and restore it on the spot. If the customer has a video demand after returning the car, Carplus Car Rental only provides the memory card to buy back, and does not provide data backup.

Daily rental: (1) A daily fee of 50 NTD will be charged for product consumables, and 25 NTD per day starting from the third day of continuous rental. (2) Those who are overtime within 6 hours will not be charged an increased overtime fee; those who are overtime for more than 6 hours will be charged an additional 50 NTD per day.

A lease and B return

Car-Plus offers a rent-and-return service (not available at Taipei Main Station). Payment must be made on-site. Fees are available on the Car-Plus website: https://www.car-plus.com.tw/diffstationcharge.
The rent-and-return service is unavailable during the Lunar New Year holiday.

overtime fee

It needs to be paid on-site, and the charge will be calculated at 1/10 of the preferential price rent of the [Free Distribution] project for every 1 hour. If the overtime is more than 6 hours (inclusive), the charge will be calculated on the 1st day. Prices and holidays are calculated according to the preferential holiday rent of this event or the appropriate credit card discount.

child seat cost

Child safety seat rental: NT$100 per day for the first 1–2 days; from the third day onward, NT$80 per day.
