This was my first time joining a day tour on KKday, guided by Ms. Ishibashi. Previously, when traveling to various countries, including Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, France, Czech Republic, Prague, etc.), I always rented a car and drove myself. I was both excited and apprehensive about my first time on a group tour, worried that the guide and driver might not be a good fit and would spoil the trip. Let me tell you about the itinerary: My personal experience with Yufuin shows it takes at least three hours – it's incredibly fun and has amazing food; there's simply not enough time to see everything! I also saw some reviews saying it was boring after three hours; maybe they didn't get off the bus to explore? Actually, it's fantastic, I was almost misled! We didn't need to drive ourselves from Fukuoka, and I fell asleep as soon as we boarded the bus after registration. The two-hour journey each way was very smooth, and the guide let us rest and catch up on sleep – it was great! Ms. Ishibashi accompanied us on our way to Kinrin Lake and told us about some good food (grilled mushrooms). Being foodies, we immediately took note, but the shop wasn't open yet. We stood near the shop, keeping a close eye out for it to open. Luckily, Ms. Ishibashi had warned us beforehand that there would be long lines for the grilled mushrooms, so we didn't have to wait too long – we got our turn as soon as it opened! Our guide, Ms. Ishibashi, was very friendly and helpful. I had left some negative reviews about her before the trip, but after interacting with her and asking questions, it wasn't like those reviews described! She was always willing to talk and chat with us. Don't be misled by the reviews – the person who left those negative reviews is the one with the problem! Maybe they think they're some kind of princess or prince expecting to be waited on. All the photos were taken by Aifeng; the scenery is indeed beautiful and worth the trip.
Our tour guide, Li Chunxiang, was incredibly attentive and thorough! The itinerary was smoothly arranged, and even her dinner recommendations on the return trip were excellent. Great value for money!
Great place to see all of Fukuoka! Just wish the ticket would allow flexibility on which day to use the ticket!
However, do not buy the package with 1-day transit pass because you can only redeem the 1-day pass at for Fukuoka’s international airport! Once you leave the international airport, there is no way to redeem at all! I totally wasted my money on that! I could have just buy one at Hakata Station!
As instructed, we met early at the Hakata Oriental Hotel. Our guide, Tomas, was fluent in Chinese, English, and Japanese. For our group of about 15 people, he provided explanations and introductions in both Chinese and English. He was very attentive, and there were ample time and opportunities to rest and use the restroom during our travels. It's a perfect trip for families with elderly members to relax and enjoy. During the trip, my mother suddenly felt unwell and experienced slight panic at the entrance to the limestone cave. Thank you, Tomas, for understanding my mother's fear and arranging for the tour bus driver to pick her up and accompany her to the exit. I was truly sorry and grateful. He ensured I could successfully see the magnificent karst formations and caves. Our walk took about 40-50 minutes. The exit leads to a shopping street, which, although somewhat dilapidated, is a truly remarkable sight. He explained the Tsunoshima Bridge, the Kanmon Strait, the historical anecdote of Li Hongzhang related to the Treaty of Shimonoseki, Moji Port, and the story of Motonosumi Shrine in a very interesting way. Thank you so much for making our trip so enjoyable!
