The plan includes the fee for picking one 250-gram pack. ＊Main Varieties The varieties available for picking vary depending on the season. ≪Karuizawa Summer Queen≫ A new variety developed by Shinshu University in Nagano Prefecture. Among summer/autumn strawberries, it is particularly excellent in sweetness and richness. 'Summer Queen' is a registered trademark of Karuizawa Garden Farm and is a very rare variety with low harvest yields. It is a summer/autumn strawberry that is red all the way through. ≪Pechika Honoka≫ A premium variety with an exceptionally refined taste among summer/autumn strawberries. We began cultivation in 2021 with special permission. Characterized by a creamy, strawberry-milk-like sweetness, partly due to its white flesh. It is a rare variety that can only be tasted at a few locations in Japan. ▼What are Summer/Autumn Strawberries?・・▼ Strawberries that can be harvested from early summer to early December are called summer/autumn (kashu) strawberries. Because Japanese summers are generally hot, domestic strawberry production has historically been low and rare. However, our farm utilizes the cool highland climate to enable strawberry cultivation even during the summer. Summer/autumn strawberries are characterized by a refreshing sweet and sour taste, and our customers often tell us that the fresh, ripe strawberries you can only get through picking are sweet and satisfying even when eaten as is! Please enjoy the strawberries we have carefully cultivated through repeated ingenuity, as we are committed to year-round strawberry production! ▼About Our Farm▼ Located at an altitude of 1,000m in Karuizawa. You can enjoy strawberry picking in our all-weather greenhouses with a majestic view of Mount Asama right in front of you. It is a nature-rich environment blessed with water and air so clean that fireflies dance in the summer.
