Special Exhibition 'Nihonga Avant-Garde KYOTO 1948-1970' Admission Ticket (Kyoto Exhibition)
- Is this Nihonga!? A comprehensive overview of the rebellious creative movement in Nihonga that emerged in post-war Kyoto!
- Focusing on three art groups formed after the 1940s—Sozo Bijutsu, Pan-Real Art Association, and Kera Art Association—this exhibition introduces up-and-coming young painters who questioned the boundaries of Nihonga and explored new forms of expression, along with their trajectories.
- By focusing on the critical spirit and creativity of the Kyoto art scene, we unravel another lineage of Nihonga that connects to the present day.
