JR HARUKA Kansai Airport Express Ticket
2026/05/03
The journey from Kansai Airport to Kyoto Station takes about 80 minutes and costs just over NT$400, which is quite satisfactory. Plus, the WESR QR e-ticket is very convenient. With internet access, you can simply scan the QR code to enter the gate, and you can also reserve seats in advance. The seats are large and comfortable, and the luggage compartment inside the train is also spacious.

A day trip to Kyoto and Nara, Japan: Fushimi Inari Shrine's Thousand Torii Gates, Tenryu-ji Temple, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, and deer feeding at Nara Park (departing from Osaka)
2026/04/25
This itinerary is perfect for bringing elders. Although the journey takes a while (starting from Osaka), it only covers 3 points, and the walking distance to the scenic spots isn't tiring. Getting on and off the bus is always the same, so there's no confusion. 👍 The only downside was that when we got off at Arashiyama, the tour leader walked incredibly fast, and the elderly and children in our group couldn't keep up, which was a bit of a shame. Also, tickets for the Sagano Scenic Railway are sold out if you book late, and the travel information didn't clearly state that if you booked early, you could still catch up with the group.

The bus took us to places that wound otherwise have taken hours to find. A great way to see the sights of Kyoto.
