Japanese tea expresses the tea and tea utensils of Japan and Asia. The Conran Shop Daikanyama store has a gallery that sells art and crafts, and in this tea room you can encounter works by artists and a variety of teas.
In addition to green tea and roasted tea, you can taste the original "Chokeikyo Blend" and "Happocha", Japanese fermented tea, and even teas extracted using unique methods that you can only find here. The tea is supervised by Shinya Sakurai of the Sakurai Roasted Tea Research Institute.
The Conran Shop Daikanyama store is located in Hillside Terrace. Go down the stairs and you will find Chokeikyo in the underground space with a tranquil and solemn atmosphere. It is a pleasant contrast with the furniture and products from Japan and Asia. The space was designed by Keiji Ashizawa.
We named our restaurant "Chokeikyo" because the word "listen" contains the meaning of "sense." We hope that our restaurant will become a place where you can listen and take your time to appreciate the scenery - the setting and appearance of the space, and the momentary joy brought by the taste and aroma of the tea. The logo design was done by Saitowo Hideyuki.
