Kato Hanten is an authentic Chinese restaurant that was started by Maji Bosho with the desire to "make authentic Chinese cuisine known to more Japanese people." The spirit of hospitality and home-style flavors have been passed down for generations, and all the oils used in cooking are vegetable-based. This allows you to enjoy healthy, light flavors.
It has been 46 years since "Shato Hanten" opened in Mita, Tokyo. It was temporarily closed due to the aging of the building, but reopened in September 2012 after moving to "Ark Hills Sengokuyama Mori Tower" in Roppongi, Tokyo. The interior, based on royal blue, was designed by interior designer Yasumichi Morita. The restaurant has a modern yet comfortable and relaxing space, with sofa terrace seats that are rare for a Chinese restaurant, Seto ware decorations that evoke a bamboo forest, and chairs with wooden frames.
