The shuttle bus service is well-arranged and perfect for family trips. Playing Pikmin is also a great option, and you can earn 45 coins at a time.

[Japanese-speaking guide] Morning or afternoon tours available | Stroll through the fantastic Jiufen | Plenty of time to explore | Relaxed tour | Choice of two ending locations

I participated in the morning tour. I thought we would be going by bus, but it was a slightly larger, nicer taxi. The seats were very plush. Inside the car, the guide gave us explanations about Taiwan and greetings in Taiwanese. We were also given handmade maps and given recommendations for shops and viewpoints beforehand. I participated alone, but thanks to the guide's thoughtfulness, I was able to enjoy myself without any worries. When we arrived in Jiufen, we were given an explanation about the temple, and we all went to the famous A-Mei Tea House, where the guide asked us about our plans after the tour ended. I wanted to eat the taro ball soup at A-Gan Yi Taro Ball, so I went there. It was drizzling and foggy that day, so all I could see from the observation deck at A-Gan Yi Taro Ball was fog, but it was still fun. After that, I looked around the shops on Jishan Street. I thought Jishan Street would be an arcade, but although it has a roof, it's not a complete arcade. Jishan Street looks flat on the map, but there are many ups and downs, so it's best to wear comfortable shoes. The meeting point in Jiufen was at the temple where we got out of the car, which was very easy to find. On the way back, you'll be asked whether you want to get off at Taipei Main Station or Dihua Street. Don't worry, you can decide after consulting with your guide.
