I chose the furisode style, and a Japanese instructor helped me put it on. It was very complicated but well worth the effort. My hair was also styled by the same Japanese instructor. Overall, I was very satisfied and would recommend it to travelers visiting Kyoto who want to experience this style.
Thank you so much to the two kind ladies! They were so helpful and gave me advice from the moment I entered the store! They helped me choose a kimono I absolutely love! I'm also very grateful to the lady on the second floor who helped me put on the kimono. Although we didn't speak the language, she was so kind ❤️ When I went back to touch up my makeup, they were very welcoming and told me to take my time. Overall, it was a very pleasant and heartwarming experience! Here are some photos of the finished kimono taken by my own photographer. This kimono shop is truly beautiful!! I'm extremely satisfied!
I visited Katsuo-ji Temple this time. The little Daruma dolls were so cute! Unfortunately, we had to rush to make our wishes, so the rest of the photo and stamp collection was very rushed. We didn't even have time to look at the souvenirs, which was a real shame! Kiyomizu-dera Temple was beautiful, and Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka were great for exploring! The Rilakkuma bears in Arashiyama were adorable! The bamboo forest photos don't do it justice; it was absolutely gorgeous! The tour guide was fantastic; they explained everything and even told us what good food to eat. I hope to visit Katsuo-ji Temple again next time for a pilgrimage to fulfill my vows!
The itinerary was well-planned, saving a lot of travel time. Tour guide Willa was friendly, the scenery was beautiful, and it eliminated many of the hassles of independent travel! It also added a lot of peace of mind when traveling with elderly people! It's a great choice! I would consider joining again if needed!
Our tour guide Nick san has a great sense of humour and very knowledgeable about Japan. He told us the history of the places we went to and taught us some simple Japanese phrases! He took care of us well and even treated us some little snacks! Definitely enjoyed this tour!
We were a group of 3 adults, 1 kid, and 1 toddler, and they gave us two rickshaws. When we arrived, the drivers were already waiting with name boards, so it was easy to find them.
They were smiling right away and explained the route. Our drivers were Yuji and Kosei, such nice guys. They kept smiling the whole time, pointed out everything along the way, and took really great photos for us.
Their English was good, and they made an effort to explain things clearly.
We did the 70-minute tour, and most of it was us relaxing while they pulled the rickshaw. It was such a chill and enjoyable experience. Thanks so much to Yuji, Kosei, and the Ebisuya team!
The day before departure, our tour guide, Cicy, added us to a group chat and provided a detailed itinerary, meeting points, and times. Once on the bus, she concisely explained the features and important notes for each attraction, keeping everything clear and concise. She also shared information about different types of food and provided Google Maps locations for the shops, making them very easy to find. Excellent! 👍🏻
Originally, I couldn't get tickets for the miniature train, so I opted for a boat tour instead. It turned out to be the best two hours of the trip. The interaction between the boatman and passengers was a plus, and the beautiful scenery along the way was truly relaxing, allowing me to completely immerse myself in nature.
