Product Info

==Introduction to the Mt. Fuji Yoshida Trail==

This itinerary features the Yoshida Trail, the most popular of the four main Mt. Fuji climbing routes. We will take a bus to the 5th Station and begin our hike to the summit from there. Please note that this climb is limited to the summit of the Yoshida Trail; access to the highest peak on the other side (Kengamine, 3,776 meters) is not included.

【Features of the Yoshida Trail】

◎ Numerous mountain huts and first-aid stations along the route, providing extra peace of mind for beginners.

◎ Opportunities to enjoy the sunrise (Goraiko) from various points along the trail.

◎ The trailhead (5th Station) is bustling and lively, much like a tourist attraction.

△ Entry fee: ¥4,000 per person (to be paid at the 5th Station entry window; not included in the tour price)

Before heading to the 5th Station of the Yoshida Trail, we will stop at the Fugaku Onsen 'Hana no Yu' at the foot of Mt. Fuji to change into our gear. You will have free time for lunch (lunch on the first day is not included in the tour price). We typically gather and depart 30 minutes to 1 hour after arrival, allowing you time to prepare and eat.

The 5th Station area features rest and accommodation facilities, the Komitake Shrine, and a lively atmosphere with many visitors. Since the bus used for the outbound trip is different from the return trip, please store any unnecessary items in coin lockers or manage them yourself. In addition to 'Hana no Yu,' you can also change at the 5th Station rest center.

Mountain Huts on Mt. Fuji (Short stay, dinner, and breakfast bento)

You will stay at one of the following mountain huts. Specific huts cannot be requested in advance; your guide will inform you on the day of the tour:

◆ Torii-so (Upper 7th Station / 2,900m)

◆ Fuji Ichikan (Upper 7th Station / 2,800m)

◆ Hakuun-so (8th Station / 3,200m)

◆ Ganso-muro (8th Station / 3,250m)

Mountain huts are dormitory-style with futons or sleeping bags provided. There are no bathrooms, showers, or sinks. Each hut has a shop and toilets, and offers commemorative services such as branding (for a fee). There are no changing rooms, so please use the toilets or similar areas to change. Breakfast bentos are usually provided upon arrival at the hut.

==Introduction to the Mt. Fuji Fujinomiya Trail==

The standard way to climb Mt. Fuji is to take a car or bus to the 5th Station and begin the ascent to the summit. There are four trails and five 5th stations on Mt. Fuji. This tour begins at the higher-altitude 'Fujinomiya Trail.' It is relatively close to the highest peak, Kengamine (3,776m), from the Fujinomiya summit. The descent route will be determined by the guide based on the day's conditions; it may be the same Fujinomiya Trail or via the Gotemba Trail, passing the Hoei Crater before reconnecting to the Fujinomiya Trail.

【Features of the Fujinomiya Trail】

◎ Shortest distance for both ascent and descent

◎ Starts from the 5th Station (2,400m altitude)

◎ Same route for ascent and descent, prone to congestion

◎ Straight, steep path that is physically demanding

△ You must register online for your climbing permit and pay the entry fee yourself (at your own expense; not included in the tour price)

Mountain Huts on Mt. Fuji (Short stay, dinner, and breakfast bento)

You will stay at a 7th Station mountain hut. Specific huts cannot be requested in advance; your guide will inform you on the day of the tour:

Mountain huts are dormitory-style with futons or sleeping bags provided. There are no bathrooms, showers, or sinks. Each hut has a shop and toilets, and offers commemorative services such as branding (for a fee). There are no changing rooms, so please use the toilets or similar areas to change. Breakfast bentos are usually provided upon arrival at the hut.

• Post-climb Onsen Bath

After descending from the 5th Station, we will take a bus to an onsen facility. We expect to use either 'Fugaku Onsen Hana no Yu' or 'Tokinosumika Kirakubo.'

◆ Lunch is a buffet style

◆ Free towels provided; bath towel rental is 200 yen (paid on-site)

◆ Basic toiletries such as hair dryers, shampoo, and soap are provided in the bath area

【Important Notes for Mt. Fuji Climbing】

・A guide will accompany you from the 5th Station. Independent travel plans may involve climbing on your own.

・Please understand that the itinerary may change due to natural disasters or changes in regulations.

・We appreciate your understanding that refunds may not be possible if the itinerary is significantly altered due to weather conditions or natural disasters.

・Times listed in the itinerary are for reference only; meeting and dismissal times may vary depending on traffic conditions.

・Any changes will be handled in real-time by the 'climbing staff' or 'mountain guide'.

・The climb may be canceled or altered in the event of worsening weather, natural disasters, or unforeseen circumstances that make climbing difficult.

・For safety reasons, you must follow the instructions of the 'mountain guide,' 'staff,' and 'Mt. Fuji Climbing Safety Guidance Center'.

・Please cooperate if the itinerary is significantly altered due to instructions from the 'mountain guide,' 'staff,' or 'Mt. Fuji Climbing Safety Guidance Center' following a natural disaster.

・If you wish to rent equipment, the 'mountain hut' can arrange rental services.

・If you are not properly equipped and the 'mountain guide,' 'staff,' or 'Mt. Fuji Climbing Safety Guidance Center' determines it is unsafe to continue, you may be asked to stop the climb without a refund. Please understand this.

・If you withdraw from the tour midway, you will not be entitled to subsequent activities or coverage.

・Please use the coin lockers at the 5th Station for luggage not needed for the climb (excluding valuables). Please keep valuables with you. Lockers come in various sizes; if full, paid storage services are available at the 5th Station facilities. Do not leave items on the bus; the organizer is not responsible for them.

・If you choose to stay at a mountain hut other than the one originally scheduled (or stay elsewhere temporarily), you will be responsible for the costs, and no refund will be provided.

・Please understand that if you fail to descend from the summit (Mt. Fuji summit, Fujinomiya, Gotemba, Subashiri) with the group, services for the remainder of the itinerary will not be provided.

・No refunds or liability compensation will be provided for injuries, falls, or withdrawals due to personal conditions.

・The 5th Station is at an altitude of approximately 2,300m, and the summit is 3,776m. The climb takes about 6 hours and the descent about 3 hours.

・Please notify your guide immediately if you experience physical discomfort such as altitude sickness.

・Toilets at the 5th Station require a fee (100–300 yen); please bring small change.

・Water resources on the mountain are limited. No water is provided other than drinking water, so please bring an adequate supply.

【Mountain Hut Notes】

・Please note that mountain huts used during the climb are different from standard accommodation facilities (hotels, inns, etc.).

・Mountain huts are arranged according to the tour plan. Those not on a designated plan cannot choose their hut. The actual hut used will be announced on the day of departure. Even with a designated plan, the hut may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

・Water is extremely precious on Mt. Fuji; you cannot use water or hot water freely. Each hut sells bottled water, which must be purchased at your own expense.

・Mountain huts do not have 'bathrooms,' 'showers,' or 'sinks.' Toilets require a fee.

・Bedding (futons or sleeping bags) is provided by the mountain hut.

・The room is a dormitory-style shared space (mixed gender).

・There are no partitions such as curtains to separate personal space, and no private cubicles are provided.

・Some mountain huts may not have a changing area.

Purchase Notice

・Please note that those under 15 years old are not allowed to apply.

・The itinerary does not include any form of personal travel-related insurance. Please be sure to purchase travel-related insurance in your respective country to be prepared for any unexpected events.

・There will only be Japanese guides throughout the trip, and basically only Japanese and simple English can be used for communication. If there is anything you don't understand at any place, please be sure to confirm with the guide for safety reasons.

・《Fujinomiya Route》 Fuji Mountain Climbing Fee: Each person needs to pay a toll of 4,000 yen. This fee is not included in the tour fee. Please apply for it on the application website before departure. If you fail to complete the application and cannot climb the mountain on the day, our company will not be responsible.

・This tour is based on the assumption that it will be held as usual every day. In the event of a typhoon, the tour will only be cancelled if it is judged to be difficult to carry out due to the "accessible roads" or "climbing trails" leading to Mt. Fuji.

・If a road is announced as "closed" or "suspended" and the probability of it being open or in operation is judged to be low, the trip will be cancelled. (The trip will not be cancelled based on "closing before the trip destination" or "suspended" etc.)

・If the trail to the 7th station is open and it is determined that the climb is possible, it will be carried out as usual. (Since it is not a tour with the summit as the goal, whether or not the summit can be reached will not be used as a basis for judging whether the tour will be carried out)

・If you originally planned to stay at a hut above the 7th Station, we may change it to a hut at a lower altitude due to the situation on the day.

・If you decide not to stay at the mountain lodge, you will still need to pay the relevant fees and there will be no refund.
