The sea was very rough on the day of the trip, it felt like a pirate ship ride for an hour straight, and many of the passengers around me were seasick. But once we landed on the island, the beautiful scenery made all the seasickness worthwhile.
The day before the trip, we were informed that we could upgrade to the Southern Four Islands tour plus visits to Dongji Island and Qimei Island, but skip Wang'an Island. After consideration, we decided to upgrade. Dongji Island isn't large, but walking around still takes a bit of time, so wearing comfortable shoes is recommended. The Southern Four Islands tour is a sea cruise. Honestly, if you're prone to seasickness, you'll probably sit still and try not to move, so even if the tour leader gives a thorough explanation, you might only get a brief glimpse. Also, the boatman mentioned that some pharmacies sell effective seasickness medication, although a set of three pills costs 30 yuan, making it 60 yuan per person round trip, but it's definitely effective. Seeing other passengers looking pale made me very glad I had taken my seasickness medication. The Qimei Twin Heart Stone Weir is truly beautiful, and the tour leader also introduces other attractions along the way, which is very interesting. You can Google the attractions beforehand, and there are also convenience stores at the port.
Because it happened to be raining, we converted the motorcycle into a tour bus, and the tour guide's explanations were excellent! It was actually a great choice! My travel companion and I were both very satisfied.
