We recommend allocating approximately 3 to 4 hours to fully experience Okinawa World. The park includes three main themed areas: Gyokusendo Cave, Kingdom Village, and the Poisonous Snake Museum Park. You can wander through the stalactite caves, admire traditional Ryukyuan crafts, and watch exciting performances to leisurely immerse yourself in the charm of Ryukyuan culture.
Gyokusendo Cave is the second-longest limestone cave in Japan, with an internal walking path of approximately 850 meters. We suggest setting aside 30 to 60 minutes for your visit. Along the way, you can marvel at various spectacular stalactite formations and witness the wonders of nature.
Gyokusendo Cave is very suitable for families to explore with children. The cave path is flat with well-maintained walkways, and the environment is cool and comfortable, allowing children to safely observe the natural wonders of stalactites up close. Additionally, the park offers a variety of Ryukyuan cultural experiences and performances that enhance family interaction and fun.
You can choose the following transportation methods from Naha City to Okinawa World: By Car: Take National Route 330 and then National Route 331. The drive takes about 30-40 minutes. Free parking is available at the park. By Bus: Take bus route 83 (Gyokusendo Line) from Naha Bus Terminal and alight at the 'Gyokusendo-mae' stop. By Taxi: The journey takes approximately 30 minutes, but the fare will be higher.
An Okinawa World entrance ticket usually grants admission to three main themed areas: Gyokusendo Cave, Kingdom Village, and the Poisonous Snake Museum Park. You can explore the magnificent stalactite cave, participate in traditional Ryukyuan craft making, and watch the poisonous snake show. Some tickets may also include performances like EISA drumming. Booking through KKday offers the convenience of fast park entry, saving you time queuing for tickets on-site.
Kingdom Village is an area rich in traditional Ryukyuan culture, offering a variety of craft experiences. Visitors can participate in hands-on workshops for weaving, dyeing, glassblowing, pottery, and more, allowing them to personally experience the charm of traditional Ryukyuan techniques and create unique souvenirs.
The most renowned performance at the Poisonous Snake Museum Park is its captivating snake show. During the performance, professionals explain the ecology and habits of local venomous snakes, such as the Habu, and demonstrate interactions with them. This allows visitors to learn about these unique creatures from a safe distance, offering both educational value and entertainment.
The EISA drum dance performance at Okinawa World is a must-see show within the park. There are usually fixed showtimes held at the EISA Square, with multiple performances daily. Specific times may vary depending on the season and daily operations. We recommend checking the performance schedule upon arrival at the park to plan your viewing.
