This trip involved traveling between the airport and Osaka, and between Osaka and Kanazawa. We reserved seats at the stations. JR stations have many routes, so we needed to allow plenty of time to walk to the platform. Moving between stations required good observation skills and stamina. Overall, it was like a level game, but thankfully everything went smoothly. The ticket price was definitely worth it!
I used KKday to purchase my admission ticket to the Sado Gold Mine Historic Site in advance. I didn't have to queue at the ticket counter and was able to enter smoothly. This would be extremely useful during busy times.
This is a beautiful art installation left over from the art season, well worth a visit. After viewing it, having a coffee at the riverside café is a very pleasant and satisfying experience.
Due to the itinerary, we went straight to Karuizawa on the first day and didn't realize that the Tokyo Wide Pass I bought on KKDay could only be redeemed for physical tickets at Narita, Tokyo, and Shinjuku stations. I am grateful to KKDay customer service for their assistance in canceling the ticket (after deducting a 10% handling fee).
