Xiaoyu, our tour leader, provided an excellent guided tour with both Chinese and English audio! Thanks to Xiaoyu for arranging lunch; we quickly finished our Japanese meal and then set off on our hike. We departed from the observation deck at 12:30 PM, focusing on walking and taking photos without stopping to rest. We arrived at the Tsumago-juku parking lot at 3 PM, met up with the tour group, and boarded the tour bus for our return trip. This saved us the time of waiting and transferring to another bus back to Nagoya!
The cable car offers panoramic views from the plains to the mountains, but service is subject to weather conditions and may be suspended in strong winds. There are two cable car sections, both offering stunning scenery.
Our guide, Xiao Ma, was excellent. He managed the time very well, provided clear explanations, and showed us all the stamping locations for the six modes of transportation. Please note that the area around Murodo, where you can view the snow walls, is extremely crowded, with long queues for food and drinks. Xiao Ma is very professional and suggests buying some food the day before to eat on the way up. There's plenty of time in the Gassho-zukuri village; we took the shuttle bus directly to the observation deck (300 yen per person per trip). I recommend taking this bus as it's fast and convenient. The driver was also excellent and safely delivered everyone to their destination.
If you were to visit the Kamikochi and Kurobe Alpine Route on your own, you would need to do a lot of research and it would be quite inconvenient. With KKDAY's tour, we saved a lot of time on planning and didn't have to worry about many things. It was a worry-free, comfortable group tour. Our guide, Zheng Qiang, was very interesting and interactive, and he even took photos for us. He seemed to have a passion for photography, so his photos turned out quite well. The attractions are definitely worth visiting. The transportation, accommodation, and restaurant meals were all excellent. Overall, aside from having to get up early, there's nothing to complain about. Thumbs up!
