The weather on the first day of the opening of Tateyama Kurobe was not too good, it rained all the way. Although the snow wall is only 12 meters high this year, it feels quite spectacular. Since the journey is relatively long and complicated, it is best to join the KKDAY1 day tour, where the professional leader helps us arrange the shuttle time for each journey, so that you can complete the entire journey with peace of mind.
This is the second time I've bought a JR pass on KKday. This time, the plan included a free Ishikawa Rakuen Pass, which was a great deal. I'll definitely buy tickets from this platform again for my future trips to Japan.
The tour group members are in a group chat. The tour guide will verbally announce the meeting time once and remind everyone again in the group chat, recommending restaurants or local specialties so that everyone can experience them. The tour guide is very responsible. The driver also helped with our luggage after we finished the two-day tour. The time we spent there was just right. At first, I was worried that we wouldn't have enough time to see everything. It was a great two-day tour. I would like to join a day tour to other regions next time.
Installation was easy and reception was mostly fine, except for a slightly weaker signal in remote mountainous areas, but I was very satisfied with the price.
It offers good value for money, but because one of the Shinkansen trains only has reserved seats (this ticket only allows the use of unreserved seats), it cannot be used, thus limiting your travel options. However, if you plan to take the Shinkansen to a slightly farther destination, such as traveling between Toyama and Tsuruga, it's still worth buying.
