When I inquired about the charter car price, the customer service responded very quickly, and the communication process was very smooth. I was able to clearly understand the itinerary and details, and the overall service made me feel at ease.

I joined two different tour groups for two consecutive days, and the service from Xiao Tan and Xiao Shi was excellent. If you don't want to spend time scrambling for train tickets and planning your itinerary, I highly recommend this tour. The schedule is tight, but the stops are all at the best spots. Be prepared for long drive times. The Aso volcano crater is currently closed to the public.

We rented a Toyota Alpha 7. With five adults, the trunk comfortably held one large and one small suitcase plus two carry-on bags. Although it's a 7-seater, the last row would be too cramped for three adults; it was perfect for two. The first row had the driver and one passenger seat, the second row had two individual passenger seats (with power-adjustable backrests and footrests), and the third row had bench seats (the left and right backrests could recline individually, but they would obstruct the luggage compartment, so they could only be reclined slightly). Our driver, Mr. Vincent, was very familiar with the routes, the ticket purchase process for attractions, and the parking and meeting points, explaining everything clearly. He also answered calls promptly when contacted via Line, which made us feel very reassured and allowed us to enjoy our trip! The route from Kurokawa Onsen to Takachiho Gorge was beautiful! The driver took us along scenic routes, slowing down to allow us to take photos when we saw beautiful scenery (of course, only when it was safe to do so), for which I was very grateful! It was a happy and worry-free trip, and I highly recommend it for families traveling with elderly people or children. We will definitely hire a car for another trip if we have the opportunity!

I was worried about rowing alone, but when I arrived I learned that women can row solo. Unfortunately, buying tickets at the last minute would mean a long wait and exceeding the allotted time. Because other tourists were late for the group meeting, our guide, Seven, ran to get tickets at several points as soon as we got off the bus, showing great care to give us more time. The driver was very smooth, and the ride was comfortable. The scenery at Takachiho Gorge and Cheonangahara was beautiful, and the little train experience was fantastic. We even received a small Takachiho magatama as a souvenir on the return trip. A wonderful day trip, highly recommended!
