Elsa, our tour guide, is very attentive and see to the needs of everyone in the group. Highly recommend to take the chairlift ride to top of Mt. Omuro (lift ticket is included in this tour package but offered as an option on others). Wish we had a bit more time at the Kinosaki Coast. The view is magnificent. Marin Town is a nice rest stop with shops for food, sweets, souvenirs, and local products. Great to grab some refreshments before the 2.5 hours ride back to Shinjuku.
Unlike roaming, it doesn't lag when used; the experience is quite good. It's worth buying if it's cheap. The card seems to have a phone number on it, but I haven't tested it by calling yet. It would be even better if I could leave my phone number to make restaurant reservations.
Starting from Nagoya, you don't need to worry about being unfamiliar with the transportation. For those who want to explore Kamikochi, there's no need to research routes and transfers; you can focus on your sightseeing. The guides are also familiar with Kamikochi, making it suitable for first-time visitors.
There are no vendors at the fireworks beach, so remember to buy what you want to eat at a convenience store first, or eat at a restaurant near Atami Station before walking down the long stairs to the beach, otherwise you'll go hungry. Take a boat trip in Hakone to see the lake views, and visit Hakone Shrine; remember to pray for good luck.
